You can create threads there for nearly anything.

You can have a full thread for GOLF, World Cup Soccer, even some stupid cooking show, when there are better folders for every one of those. but God Forbid you even for a second bring up anything political in the "idle talk" thread. The moderator goes apeshit over that.

I can see that and can't say I disagree with it. Does political talk go away easily? Nope. Does it cause people to stay away? Yep.

Happy birthday jim. They don't seem to really honor people born on the 3rd of July, but you can just claim you were a trailmaker, leading the way for the lam-o's that waited until the 4th to be born.

So I finally got my hands on one of the Bud Lime 'O Rita's'...got the mango one...wanted strawberry.

Yeah, totally delicious...like all beer type things with fruit are.

Hate that they're a "little person" drink. 236ml is a couple of swigs for me. If there is one thing I hate it's watching things get more expensive AND smaller.

For those that landed here from the old Strib forum - I'm organizing an old fashioned offline gathering on September 14th at Minnehaha Falls. It started as a focus on the old crowd from the Strib's "Loose Talk" threads, but has evolved a bit and is stretching to include some of the other threads (including sports dangnabbit!). If you have an interest, put that date on your calendar and plan to meet up with us there. Remember Al Pann? He's planning to be there. Other names may not be as familiar if you weren't part of the Loose Talk crowd, although our own Jim Frenette has been invited too and I'm trying to coerce him to come.
