Use to love the loose talk over there. Some cool people for sure.

The loose talk here just isn't the same.

Are you going to make the trip?

I don't see making it to Minnesota until the new stadium opens.

If life would just give me one lousy lottery win, I'd live there part time.

I've checked into and considered 3-4 week rentals in the summer time but have never found anything I considered reasonable.

So I made it a year without smoking a cigarette. Not one puff. Not one cheat.

I was a fairly heavy smoker. Just ask the guys in Seattle.

I just want to say - if you're struggling to quit, and the patch/gum/mints haven't worked for you, and you don't think you can do it cold turkey...try vaping.

Took me a bit to get the e-cig/tank/juice I like but it was a fairly easy move imo. The thing I like, and even though the rules are unclear, is I never have to go without. I (somewhat discreetly) puff on the bus, in movie theaters, at work. Haven't had a complaint yet.

Good job man. That's quite a monkey to kick. I think the people who want to outlaw e-cigs deserve their own special punishment.

That's super awesome.

I see people vaping everywhere. Even on planes.

Completely off the wall: Vox put up 5 new songs each week, and one this week is really trippy. Put on some good earphones, and listen to it when you're sleepy or otherwise losing touch with reality.

Insane Free-Fall Amusement Park Ride

Great idea.

Better than the equivalent bungee jumping. Which I did at our annual fair. The thing with that was - all there was was a pool to 'break your fall' should you find your rope snapped on the initial dive. Good luck to you after that though!

Went twice in a row on 2 for 1 day. All while they talked about how hungover they were and how they hoped they had everything set up right. The 2nd jump they made me do backwards which was thrilling. Like this jump here, facing away from the ground adds to the fun.

Thrill rider myself Todd.
Pretty embarrassing ... everyone in the family still stands and watches ME go on all the rides, all the thrill stuff .... even in my 50s.
Never understood those who don't try those things. Way too much fun to pass up.

My wife won't do rides so I don't go to amusement parks like I'd like to.

The last time I went we agreed that she would get 3 vetoes and I could make her do 3 rides.

Took her on the best ride in the park and that was the end of that.

There is no ride or attraction that I would pass up. Well, maybe the nausiaters...the useless spinning ones. No thanks to those.

Same thoughts my man
Spinning is stupid
Give me speed, falling, climbing, bouncing, careening .... screw the spinning.

Spinning was fun as a kid but at an older age it sort of sucks. haha

Cedar Point is actually in our sights as a future family vacation destination.

How have you guys done so far this summer for weather?

I don't know what system to thank for this tolerable summer but it has been great!

I'll deal with a bit more rain, and the feeling this morning that I *almost need a sweater vs high 30's (100f) with the humidity.

And summer is flying by quick. Just one more month in the way.

Adopting the metric system would require many American to do what he/she is very much averse to doing...change.

To Adopt, we would have to Adapt. And we're stubborn ass 'Merkans...

Yeah. The almost every school in the state applies for and receives a waiver to start early.

They got out on June 6 with all the snow days last year.

My kids both go back on the 12th. I think that is the earliest they have ever gone back. At least they got to visit the grandparents in Minnesota this year.
