BTW, I hate when threads are locked to the top. What's the point? Make the most recent post the top thread. Screws me up all the time. Part of the reason I stay out of the NHL threads. Maybe that's a good thing for everyone else.

She just said Mike MaDAAAAANo. Not Mike Ma"Donno." Definitely Canadian. Maybe from Montreal, as that's where the hot Canadian chicks are from.

Just listened to Brett Young (?)'s highly panned rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Not as bad as I was expecting.

The Canadian anthem is just a better song. Is it just me or is America the Beautiful a rip-off of the Canadian anthem?

I have a really cool idea for the NHL All-Star game. No goalies. I mean, you can name All-Star goalies for contract purposes. But no goalie in the game. And then use "nets" or boxes that are like 6" wide by 6" high. That would be interesting to see the precision needed to score!

You seem to be some sort of hockey seer. Like a savant of some kind.
Your ideas are visionary.

Have they already thought of this?

Or is it just a dumb idea?

No goalies, no glass, and only low shots are good because nobody wants to chase the puck into the parking lot. Classic Shinny rules.

Seabrook and Toews to ottawa for karlsson, and we pick up one of the two salaries. I'm sick of the same ol', same ol' with this team. Get rid of age and silly long term contracts, and get competitive again!

Move the Captain? I NEVER thought I'd hear that from a Hawks fan!

I never thought I'd say it, SoMn. But something has to give. They are getting old fast, and they both have big contracts that will hurt the long term prospects of the team.

Damn

3 cups since 2010 and you want sweeping changes? We are still trying to get our PP going and it's only been since our inception! It's called unwavering patience.

Rick Nash is now a bruin. Bruins gave up spooner, beleksy, a prospect, and a first round pick. Pretty big move.

Sounds like Ottowa is asking the moon for Karlsson.

League sources say the Senators want a massive package in exchange for Karlsson that could include legitimate NHL players, high-end prospects and two first-round picks. If Dorion is going to do this deal the belief in league circles is he’d like to get five to six pieces in return.

And the massive package jokes should start in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2
