whoa ... whoa ... whoa ..............
They cared enough to give you 7 Cups in four years my friend ...
If my owners did that for me, I'd let them abuse me for awhile, gladly.

I guess I'm pretty spoiled with the Cups...But Da Coach once said "the past is for cowards and losers". And who doesn't love a great ditka quote

Never sweat me taking anything personally! You all speak from a position of friendship. This board is the closest thing I have to sports talk, because I sure can't talk sports with a bunch of cubs and bears fans! And, I couldn't care any less about the bulls.

Mike Yeo fired.

He seems to be a really good guy, but probably not of NHL head coach caliber.

246-180-55 overall in his NHL career
That's really not that bad
Especially his time with St Louis ... 73-48-11
In the NHL, that's damn-near HOF level.
Someones gotta go, and you can't fire all the players
They've been shut out twice in a row. And Coach Q is looming.
hard to believe that roster is the 4th-highest-paid in the league.
Its not that good, imo.

They might let Berube keep the seat warm awhile, but you know Q's coming in eventually.

Yeo is not a bad coach imo. He just doesn’t come with instant creds. He came as a relative unknown out of Pitt when they started to roll. Ppl will always look at him like an ex-Pat. Was he a part or just part of the system?

Hard stigma to get over.

He's the ultimate "keep the seat warm for the new guy" coach right now. Q will be talked about for both open positions.

Pretty soon he'll be a hologram coaching behind someone's bench. First of his kind. Don't knock it. Technologies come a long a way.

Geez, that's a lot of coaches to get canned this early in the season.

Vancouver Canucks forward Antoine Roussel has been fined $5,000 for biting San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic during Friday's game.

Roussel and Vlasic tussled during the final minute of the Sharks' 4-0 win. Vlasic's fist was against the side of Roussel's head, and as Vlasic pulled his arm away, Roussel bit him.

The $5,000 fine is the maximum allowable for biting under the collective bargaining agreement, according to the NHL Department of Player Safety.

Roussel and Vlasic were both given two-minute penalties for roughing, with Roussel getting another two minutes for cross-checking and 10 minutes for misconduct. Roussel also picked up a pair of penalties in the first period, for elbowing and delay of game.

The Canucks forward ranks second in the NHL for penalty minutes this season with 65, one behind the Boston Bruins' Brad Marchand.

Half-expecting that puke Maurice to go after Roouseel and marchand.
They'd fit into his program nicely.
That douche bugs me (if you can't tell)

Schmaltz shows some promise, but he's not what we need right now. He made some people mad early this season when he didn't chase a puck into the corner.

I thought "biting" was supposed to say "hitting", but was a misprint. Roussel bit a guy and he is over 6 years old? Unreal.

Well, I think the Hawks have officially entered hockey hell. Not enough money to make necessary changes, and big contracts with no trade clauses. It's going to be an interesting rest of the season for us.
