And people wonder why we think this is by far the coolest game in the world?

What other star in a sport is this tough?

http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/26494148/sharks-pavelski-scores-goal-jaw-loses-teeth

This stuff happens all the time in the NHL
Tough tough tough tough dudes.
If you're not, you're out.

Nor did the Sharks believe Pavelski would shy away from going right back to the front of the net.
"It takes some balls to get in the paint again," Sharks forward Evander Kane said.
Pavelski took regular shifts in skating 16:52 for the game, helping the Sharks take a 1-0 series lead.
"Tough as nails," coach Peter DeBoer said. "You take a puck to the face like that. Doesn't go down. There's no other word for it. He's a warrior."
The warrior was due to become the patient either Wednesday night or Thursday morning, to get his teeth fixed and to ensure his jaw was in good shape. Whatever the damage, it was worth it.
"We like to play this game. It's playoff season," Pavelski said. "We want to play some playoff hockey. Something like that happens early and you just want to get back out there as soon as you can.
"We earned that one. And that's a good feeling."

In the Pavelski video, was that BB's scoring goals in the playoffs? Wouldn't it be nice to have a guy like that on our team?

You must have read my texts last night …
Torronto looks goooooooooooood again.
Fast. Fast. Faster.
8 guys under 22 or some incredible stat. Young hard to play against, and fast. Did I mention fast?
Guys like Chara are warriors, but when you match up against that kind of speed when you're 40 …. its over.
You can hide him nightly and he'll still contribute, but a 7 game series? Not happening. coughcoughSutercoughcough

Loving the results so far
Also hoping for a meteor in that Calgary/Avs series, but if I have to choose, I'm glad the Avs won't win that one.
Half of the leagues dirtiest players are in that series.
Colorado has some MORONS playing for them that will injure someone badly one day. Mark it down. Landeskog is a prick, and he's got McKinnon all F-ed in the head already too.
And don't get me started on Tchachuk. At least with that freak, you get incredible production.
And all I can say about the Avs Zadorov is he's damn lucky Derek Boogard isn't a thing anymore.

I'll be shocked if Tampa doesn't come out with their hair on fire. If Columbus can steal another one

Oh my

Wow, 3-0 now for the Jacks and it's halfway through the 2nd. Tampa might be in over their heads. I begged for Torts when Yeo was hired. That guy is an asshole but knows how to lead a team.

BB was on KFAN this morning and was talking about when his Caps teams were at their best all season but didn't have that extra 10% to give come playoff time and ended up losing to teams that had more to give. Maybe that is what is happening to Tampa right now.
And the Blue Jackets have the better goalie so that always helps too.

Tampa clearly has no leadership. That was embarrassing. They didn't even fight for it. Point, for God's sake, had to drop the gloves in the first to try and fire them up

Sometimes teams think that they don't have to work hard to get a good result. The nhl playoffs are not one of those times. Tampa should be up 2-0, but they did not work hard enough to win. Someone needs to step up, slap his teammates in the face and demand they give their best effort on every shift. If that doesn't happen, they are going to take an early playoff nap.

Yup, Kuch suspended for a game and down 2-0 going in to Columbus. This is where Stamkos either goes down as a great or a talented guy who never put it all together.

So Kadri is the bad guy.
Ok.
DeBrusk tried to murder a guy four times yesterday.
But he’s a victim 😀

I didn't watch that game so don't know about DeBrusk, but I do know for a fact Kadri is the kind of ass clown this league should be working to rid themselves of. He has a history of running guys and trying to take their heads off so if he gets a major suspension I'm all for it.

The worst part about the playoffs is the refs let dirty hockey take over and it's called physical hockey by the powers that be.....pure BS.

If you said that the Pens and Tampa would be a collective 0-5 heading in to tonight you were either a genius or an idiot.
