And the Pens go down in 4 straight too. Nice to see some different teams getting the job done this year.

NEVER in a million years thought I'd see the Pens go that quietly.
The Ning loss may be huge to everyone else, but this one was just as surprising to me.
Not that NYI moves on, but the lack of fight the Pens put up.
Crosby wouldn't shoot the damn puck. Would Not Shoot the puck.
It honestly looked like the Wild at times.
They appeared to be ok with golfing.

And that's really odd, because this was a team almost as rabid about winning as the Patriots.
(who will NOT go that quietly, trust me)

NY has some great FAs. Please watch, Fenton. Please watch. The Mn kids are fast, big, and strong.

Come on man. We don't like big/fast/strong types. We prefer good tempered, good faceoff guy.

Loving the usual intensity
Loving the drama and the upsets
But finding out … I got no horse in this race
My Ning are done
My Sharks are done
Adopted the Flames and they're done too
Cannot stand the
Preds
Avs
Stars
Knights
Blues
Jets
Meh on the
Leafs
Canes and
Isles

Did thoroughly enjoy the Jets painful loss last night tho
Except that meant some Blues joy
But to see those faithful Jets fans all head for the exits pissed off did my heart good.
When you look at that list … kinda pisses me off.
There are some real losers in there who somehow passed us on the ladder.
We never climb the ladder, we just get on the ladder and hang on, scared to move.
While people climb over us.

I'm feeling the blues a little bit, too. I'm still pulling for the Leafs. The Oshie thing has me a little bit pissed, though. Suspension needs to be laid out for that act. Saturday should be a fun game to watch.

I just remembered … I still got my Caps!

But they're teetering now too.
Cheap-ass hit on Oshie last night, that ones gonna hurt

Hard to not respect what the Blues have done.
Cant really say I'm outwardly pulling for them, but damn, they've righted that ship.

There's always 1 or 2 'wow' moments in the playoffs but this year is crazy.

Ning' and Pens swepted in the 1st...STL dispatches Winnipeg pretty easily. Avs take out the Flames with ease.

I thought the Preds would spank Dallas but that's been way more competitive than I thought. I knew the Canes/Caps would be a good battle but when Ov8 assers his will it's not really a contest. Dude is such a beast out there.

You also knew the Bruins/Leafs would be an epic battle.

The sad part is, watching all these teams that are still playing just shows how far off the Wild are from contending for anything.
The way all these teams are playing I don't see us as being even close to the level that we need to be at.
I hope Motzko gets something going at the U soon, because all I see for the Wild is many lean years ahead.

I've been in that camp for a couple weeks too, man.
But I have to admit, after watching basically every damn game of the playoffs so far …
We are as good as half of them.
I look back at how we played these supposedly elite teams, and I think we might have been ok.
Some of these fans have to be really really disappointed in their outcomes.
Flames and Jets and Lightning and Preds all had huge expectations, and none of those teams played any better in their series than we would have, imo.
I get it, I get our weaknesses. But its SO much about when you play well.
I hope the Wild keep their eyes open , because there will be some panic on some of these disappointing teams.
Might be some real opportunity to snatch a guy that others are fed up with.

I couldn't agree more. That game was terribly officiated, and the no goal was the icing on the cake. I'm really starting to dislike the hurricanes. From the owner to the fans. And, why is foegele still on the ice?

If we don't do well there, like … REAL well..... it's going to be pretty damn embarrassing.
Not that there aren't good rosters down there, but dammit.
We're banking on like 4-5 of these guys to be THE GUYS for us next year.

Hockey legend Neal Broten cited a 3rd time for drunken driving
Authorities say he failed to obey a stop sign before his arrest in western Wisconsin, where he lives.

He needs to get some help......59 years old and a MN Sports Legend.

Quit drinking Neal.

If it wasn’t for the Leafs dmen handling the puck like a live stick of dynamite, they’d be up by three! Fun game to watch!

Shark Sharks Baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incredible.
This isn't right … I'm supposed to be whining about the refs giving the Knights the game.
I'm taking it and not apologizing one tiny bit, because no one ever does to me.

THAT is why you go get Erik Karlsson
He was the only guy playing
He played 758 minutes last night
The entire time CARRYING 20 guys along with him
He refused to lose last night
The league loves Burns. But Karlson was the real stud when the chips were on the table.

+1 on the Karlsson comment. Burns is good, but people who really know the sport will tell you that Karlsson is the straw that stirs the drink. I think I saw him out of position twice is this entire series. He makes great decisions with the puck and logs a TON of ice time. I wish he had an Indianhead on his sweater instead of a hockey stick eating shark.
