Subban is a guy I would absolutely love if he played in Minny. Since he plays in Eastern Canada, I hate him

I think OEL has a nice future but when you have THAT many points are are still a -18 for the season.....yoouuuuch.

Led his team in points, OEL had a lot on his plate in that mess. Not saying he should be #1 ranked d-man in NHL right now or anything but he is a prime talent in bad surroundings right now. Antoine Vermette is their best forward !

AZ does have a little bit of a light in the end of the tunnel, Tie Domi's kid, Max is about ready to make an NHL debut as a scoring forward. And the Strome kid will eventually have a chance to be a scorer.

RIP Al Arbour
Coaching legend when I was growing up.
Good player before that.

4 straight Stanley Cups ... that'll probably never happen again.

Ouch

According to Barry Rozner of Chicago's Daily Herald, the Blackhawks are preparing for life without their star forward Patrick Kane. The latter is currently under investigation for a sexual assault case that allegedly occurred in his home near Buffalo. Less than three weeks away from training camp, the Hawks are in a very difficult position.

Per Rozner, the Hawks may have to take a decision that won't please their fans, whatever the outcome of the investigation is.

"Kane had been warned about his behavior, and the Hawks were not pleased that he announced at the Stanley Cup rally that he intended to act the fool again while celebrating the team’s third championship in six seasons."

"The brand, the titles and the sweater go hand in hand as far as the Hawks are concerned, but no one player is bigger than the team and the Hawks and their litany of sponsors do not want to be known as a group that values winning above decency."

"They do not want to be the Baltimore Ravens after the Ray Rice debacle, so the Hawks find themselves painted into a corner and Kane is holding the brush", Rozner wrote on saturday morning.

Many fans would be angry if Chicago make such a move, claiming Kane can't be held responsible of anything until proven guilty, and they do have a point. But in the "post Ray Rice" world, public image of the team has become more important than ever and domestic assault cases have to be treated very seriously and rightly so.

The fact that Kane has a troubled past with the law isn't helping either. According to Rozner, the Hawks have been extremely busy about what they plan to do with their superstar since day one of this story. Every single option is currently being studied, from doing nothing to trade him or "every possibilities in between".

Let's just say this is not what the Hawks were hoping for when Kane said he would go wild again after their Cup victory.

If Rozner wrote it, it's probably true. He's about as "in the loop" as a reporter can be, when it comes to the Hawks. Kane really shot himself in the foot with his issues this time.

Wow, that's a big story and he's right, the fans (at least a lot of them) would be livid.

Toronto
Philly
Ottawa

I really hope that he is traded. Enough of this idiot. As a fan, I can tolerate silly behavior. I'm probably guilty of that myself once in a while. But when it crosses the line into criminal assaults against women, I can't be a party to that.

Mark Giangreco, a Chicago sports reporter who has pretty deep Buffalo connections, reported that the case against kane is a strong one.

If that is the case, there is chance he won't playing with anybody for a while.

Kane's play and attitude in the last Olympics really soured my thoughts on him, and everything he has done since has just made me dislike him more. The last thing this team needs right now is to add a cancer like him to the locker room in my opinion.

That I totally agree with. I just meant his on ice production and shoot at all costs mentality. He's not worth all the other stuff though.

He's actually a very good teammate and the guys seem to like him a lot. It's his piss poor attitude off the ice and his (obvious) decision making skills deficit that I'm sick of. Toews and some other guys tried to look after him off the ice and I heard that he was very resentful that the team thought he needed a "babysitter" when he had free time. The team had been waiting for him to screw it all up, and he royally did so.

Good teammate? Wasn't he the guy who was sleeping with some of his teammates' wives or girlfriends? Or is there another Blackhawk that did that?
