Btw ... speaking of the state tourney ... this years has the potential to be verrrry interesting
On the Class A side look for the top team to be outstate for the first time in forever (well, besides Hermantown)
EGF is outstanding. And a southern team (Mankato West) could finally make some noise as well. Not just get there, but make some noise.

Greatest couple nights across the state Wed and Thurs
Some awesome Section finals.
Seeing some familiar faces returning in AA. Some new ones in A.
Should be a fun tourney.
The EGF/Warroad 2 OT battle last night was a classic.

Couple familiar ones to you, Jeff, will be making the trip.
Orono, Chisago Lakes, St Cloud Cathedral

Just realized that they're now charging $5/day to watch the tournament online

Started an argument with my kid yesterday ... Told him "just go online.... It's free"
To which he said ... "Ummm, no"
Couldn't believe it either

I could probably just walk across the street and get in the building for $5

Thankfully, there are more than a few bars nearby....

Picked the four winners yesterday and missed the scores by only a couple all day.
Roseaus always a sentimental pick for me in AA
And East.
I should be pulling for Lakeville as a south guy. But I don't like them as the favorite.
In A my son has adopted EGF as his new home team so I'm pulling for them.
I love all the new faces.

I'm an East alum, but this probably isn't their year. Very young and probably didn't deserve to beat Elk River (on home ice) to get there. I'll be ok with anybody but those who need attention every day...

As you alluded to, the A tourney is getting a little better. STA manning up was long overdue, now just need to get a few others to follow suit. Looking at you, Hermantown/Warroad/Breck...

Amazing how tiny Roseau can get it done in AA
Can't respect that any more than I do
It's amazing

I always thought they (and Warroad) reached out pretty far for players.

(Of course, East has done the same thing for 20 years)
