Helluva game, Hounds, helluva game.
They did what Bemidji damn-near did.
Came all the way back and out-worked a really talented team.

Two games, exactly the same today ....
The Evil Empires prevail

Hey, I resent that. STA is not an evil empire no matter how incessantly Herrmantown's coach whines about them. They're more of an evil upstart.

Well, they did terrorize us lowly Class A rodents for year after year after year. (much like a death star)
Glad AA has to handle em now.

Found it interesting that Plante said yesterday when asked ... "no way in hell we move up to AA"
Hmmm, here I thought that was always his complaint, that if you are wiping out your A competition, you should move up?
His boys wont be tested this year, and if they DONT move up, he just lost my HOF votes.

We've the STA thing (and the dominance of a handful of 'A' schools in general) pretty good in here over the last couple years. My opinion, for what it's worth - you win the A tournament, you move up to AA and can't move back for at least 5 years.

That was just flat out amazing. Hope they have enough juice left for tomorrow, either way they're going to be playing another powerhouse.

If they can somehow win a title as a "no chance" team, that would make up for a lot of past choke/screw jobs.

I have to agree 100%. The only time I don't cheer against the cake eaters is when they are playing Hill Murray, who got beat earlier today as well.

Another miracle in the making, this time by Hermantown. 2 goals in the final :30 to send it to OT.

East Grand Forks spoils the story. 5-4 winners in OT. Helluva finish.

Oh my gosh - I had watched the first period, caught the end of the second and tuned into the third off and on. When I last turned it off, Hermantown was down by two goals and there was only a minute left. I figured it was done! I wish I had seen those two goals that sent it into overtime - I'll bet the place went crazy! So bummed that EGF pulled it out because Hermantown would have been such a nice feel good story.

Great great game again.
Happy for EGF, that's my sons adopted squad, he has gotten to know them pretty well.
Hermantown is always damn good but the Hockey Gods never quite smile on them completely.
They've had some CRUSHING defeats in the 6 years of frustration.

Simply amazing ...

TOURNAMENT TIDBITS

--The Chicago Blackhawks lead the NHL with an average home attendance of 21,720. Friday night's crowd of 21,609 for the Class 2A semifinals would rank No. 2 in the NHL.

Figured I'd see history either way tonight.
Lakeville has been dominant so far.
One period left to hopefully pull off one more miracle.

No disgrace losing to them.
Really good tourney again this year. Cant wait to have grandkids that I can force to sit with me every Friday at the X.

Alright, here goes.

Biggest school boy tourney in America.
The one thing your station is known for.
And you can't put $25 into upping your production of it?
It's been the same stale coverage for a decade ... And they refuse to upgrade
It's like a freaking poorly-done HS video class production.
Pathetic, Ch 45, pathetic.

Ok, carry on.

My hometown team Litchfield Dassel Cokato plays tonight. Here's to hoping they can be the 1954 Hickory BB team from the movie Hoosiers!
