This explains what suddenly happened to Otto. Degenerative Knee problems. I like the way Pitino is handling it, classy.

23-3 start. And Penn St got it back to 9 in the 2nd half before holding on to win.

Cannot allow 17-1 runs/big scoring droughts.

When they settle for jacking up 3's this is happening far too often.

Mav had a big game. Bizarro world.

The other senior, Malik Smith, went scoreless. In his last six games, he totaled eight points on 1-for-23 shooting, including a 1-for-20 mark from 3-point range.

Serious shooting slump. Playing time is vanishing. The frosh, McNeil, doesn't shoot well. Some of those floor combo's are part of the reason they hit scoring slumps.

I'd feel pretty good if they win Thursday and Friday, although it's no guarantee.

Man, basically every game last week did not go our way.

Losing to Purdue a few weeks ago was a killer.

yeah, those to and the earlier NW loss. Could be 2 or 3 of the losses that keep them out.

2 new conference teams next year in final tournaments

Rutgers losing 64-23 to L-ville w/15 minutes left.

Maryland lost to FLA State by 2 to finish 17-15

2likely thorns in the gophs backside. Seem to play to the opponents level far too often. Past and present. Hopefully the new blood mentioned in DL's link changes that.

Frustrating as hell.
IMO
Can't stand penetrating guards who can't automatically make eight foot bunnies, and who instead turn the freaking ball over.
Played that spot. I'd be ashamed by some of these turnovers.

That Rutgers /Louisville game ....
If Louisville's starters had not scored a point, Louisville would have still won 32-31
60 point ass kickings should never happen at this level

Thankfully Austin Hollins plays for us.
Dude is a player.
Carries this group for long stretches. Often is all we've got.

Smith has had an embarrassing game.

Six colleges in six years for him? Wow.

Walker and the wolves Pek should be locked in a gym until they eat each other, or can make a layup.
Whichever comes first, doesn't matter to me.
Is there anything more frustrating than a seven footer who cannot lay a ball in a basket?
That whole "gee golly, it rimmed out" reaction drives me absolutely nuts. Ram the GD thing home once in awhile.
Big tough-looking softies.
