17 turnovers and 5-11 from the line, otherwise a very good road win.
Another good job on the BTN.
Any chance the Dahlmann kid would come back home?

Congrats to coach Smith on #400.

Probably because of campus life. Sure can't be due to the amount of playing time he gets.

I can't believe how far Michigan has fallen off of the BB map. They used to be very competitive every year and 4* players want to go there, not any more. Now they are getting the left overs

W at Iowa Saturday. Nolan/Johnson key contributor.

Nicely done. 5-5 Big 10 mark. Don't think any of the "experts" would have guessed 5 conference wins/15 wins for the entire season.

Our man Tubby continues to amaze me.
What a turnaround.
Good win over a solid Iowa team.
Keep the positive mo going, get a good tourney look, then crank up the expectations next year.
Golden Gopher Basketball is returning.
Energy, excitement. They get after people.

(Well, ok, maybe Iowa's not solid. But it's the kind of team we used to lose to.)

Fantastic turnaround this season.
we appreciate you, Tubby.
There is good basketball being played over at the Barn these days.
That's all we asked for after the Monson Debacle.
I remember asking about Hoffarber early in the year, well, after seeing him play a few times ...
he shocks me. i had no idea he could compete that well at this level.
He is a great shooter (needed), but is far from a one-trick pony.
Several great feeds yesterday on the break and on the outside-inside plays.
This kid is gonna be one hell of a player, and will only get better with more weapons around him.
Great stuff on Coleman yesterday, tough enough to be a big-time ball player, but to balance fatherhood in there as well, pretty cool.
Couple more chances this year to build on things, keep the good feeling going, fellas.
The tourney bid is really not that important this year, resurrecting a storied program was.
I grew up a lockhart/thompson/muss/McHale/olberding/landsberger/Rautins/Flip guy. And Behagen/turner/winey/ray-ray/brewer/etc. Proud names from a proud past. Thanks for restoring some of that luster.

To have a team so quickly be turned around is amazing.....Gophers have to be on the bubble for a NCAA bid. Even if they don't get in, they will be in the NIT and could make some noise in that tournament.

I might have been premature saying that Tuby should be able to extend his 20 win seasons. He now still needs 2 more and if he doesn't do it in the Big 10 Tourney, then he will have to hope they get a couple in the NIT if invited

Big win for the Gophers today. Down by 16 in the first half and fought back for a 3 pt win. NU has a hard offense to guard

What happened in the last 10 seconds, They got the layup to tie it and then a Foul on the Gophers after that? How bad was the reffing because the F throw disparity is huge? I couldnt see it but was following online, saw the last shot on the highlights, completely amazing.

Gordon drives, gets fouled. Roughly 5 seconds left.

Gordon misses the first. Intentionally misses the 2nd.

We miss the rebound, don't block out. White tips it home and is fouled. Totally our bad.

Tie game. 3.1 seconds left.

White misses FT. We don't secure rebound, bounces around to White, we foul him. Iffy call in a tie game with so little time.

Still tied. 1.5 seconds left.

White misses first FT. Makes second one. Indiana up by 1.

You saw the rest all over ESPN.

Ed, why do you say the Big Ten is so-so? Other than the Pac-10, I think it's the strongest conference top to bottom. Several wonderful teams in Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Purdue. Then you've got a very strong Minnesota team, an underrated Illinois team. Even Northwestern gave the Gophers a real run in the tourney. This is the best the Big Ten has been in 15 years.

The best part, they graduate only 3 starters. Johnson and Westbrook grew up big time the last couple of days and now know what it takes to win a big game. First Hoffaber wins an ESPY, and now last night was the #1 high-lite on ESPN. Next level for him to make a last second shot is the NBA.

Are you kidding? The bottom five teams in the conference are downright awful. Best in 15 years??? This is probably the worst the conference has been, top to bottom, in the last 15 years. Heck, just three years ago Iowa was 7th in the conference yet still had more than 20 wins.

Ohio State and Purdue, while better than expected, are no where near "wonderful". Wisconsin will have an early exit again in the tourney, in fact, I highly doubt you will see one Big Ten team make the final 8.

And you completely discount the Big East? Pittsburgh, 7th in the Big East, has 25 wins. They played most of the season without their two best players. If they were in the Big Ten, they would probably have finished 1st or 2nd.

Fantastic win in a hostile atmosphere. I had no idea the refs from the '72 Russian Debacle were still working.
You could see a concerted effort on the refs part to get Indiana the best chance possible to win that thing.
Congrats on another big step to Tubby and the kids on this team.
Not very talented or deep, but they play damn hard and don't quit.
Good times in the Barn will be here again soon.
Would be so much fun to get one more upset. The Illini had a long hard-fought game as well.
There's something about Hoffarber that really intrigues me, big-time success finds him. Special player.
So nice to be on the positive end of that kind of play.

Gopher pucksters gave it their all as well, what a whale of a game that was.
Congrats to an emerging Mankato squad.
To turn right around tonight will be tough. Just cannot score.
Kangas is my man, and he was great.

Pitt lost to Rutgers. Yes, that Rutgers. 16th out of 16 in the Big East. Pitt was also absolutely crushed by Dayton. Pitt finishes maybe 5th or 6th in the Big Ten. The Big East is "deep" only in that there are so many teams in the league, of course it's gonna have a few more quality teams. Be sure, though, there are just as many bad teams in the Big East as there are good ones.

Looking more closely at the Pac 10, I actually think the Big 10 is better from top to bottom. I predict there will be at least 1, maybe 2, Big 10 teams in the Final 4. Watch out for Ohio State, Purdue, and Michigan State, as always.
