Nice to see the guys get a win in regulation tonight. Roles reversed a little tonight with the Sue looking better, but couldn't put the puck in the net. Got a little worried when we took the foot off the gas in the 3rd and went into the defensive shell for the whole period, but for a change we actually kept the lead for the win. Schierhorn looked much better tonight and stood tall for the shutout.

Last ten minutes was ridiculous ... talk about going into a shell.
But like you said, we held on.
When you stop attacking, you are very lucky to not get caught and get beat.
Was in doubt down to the last seconds.
The penalty shot was crazy. talk about drama.

In a dismal stretch of Viking, Wild and Timberwolf losses, somehow the Gophers beating the North Dakota Boy Named Sue leaves me feeling content with the world.

Yep, in a totally unexpected result ... the Gophers Mens Hockey team was the only squad in town that held up its end of the bargain.

This team seems to be good on Saturdays after being not so good on Fridays. Sure would be nice to see them get their legs going on a Friday once to at least give themselves a chance at a sweep.

Twas another one of those famous ... "just TRY to find them on TV" weekends. Sat-Sun trip out East
Preparing them for the stupidity of NHL scheduling, perhaps?

I tried streaming the Northeastern game Friday night, but never got the stream going. After waiting a few minutes with nothing yet I figured the stream would be like trying to watch it on a 14.4 modem and gave up.

Gophers should be embarrassed by their performance last night, getting routed 8-3 by OSU! I got a bad feeling about this one and turned the game off when we were down 2-0 still in the first. A friend texted me from the game saying they looked terrible in person too. I never turned the game back on and he was on his way home after just 2 periods......
It sure sucks to be a sports fan in Minnesota these days.

Horrible effort and preparation for the second night of the weekend.
Weak-minded program right now, nothing to see here.
Capable of great things when the want is there, capable of embarrassing things when someone isn't making them do their jobs.
This is starting to remind me of Notre Dame football.
Get these great recruits every year, who accomplish nothing, get free rides to a great institution, and then stand there and expect to be admired and revered.
Yes, they are kids, but they signed up for this, and they are letting down their end of the bargain, imo.
