Thing is ... college hockey is sooooooooo winnable, if they could actually gel a real TEAM together again.

Gophers blow a 3-0 lead and lose in OT last night. Need to get a win tonight to try and salvage the weekend.
Of course, since last night wasn't on TV, it's on tonight the same time as the Wild game......

I can't believe this team. They are sitting at 6-3 with 6 minutes to go and at 1 minute to go it's all tied....another 3 goal lead blown.

Managed to hold on for a 4-2 win. Was a pretty good game to watch, lots of up and down action.

Liked the win
But wanted to scream all night

1st ... embarrassing crowd numbers. Half the building came dressed as empty seats.
2nd ... I've never seen so many lazy plays
3rd ... just an overall blah going on, it feels like AAA hockey. If you've ever had a kid play AAA hockey, you will know what I mean.

Our kids are more talented than any other kids in the country.
There. I said it.
And its not a brag.
It's a complaint.
AAA hockey, that's all I can say.

Nice win over the Buckys last night
Mike Szmatula hits the coveted 100 career point mark.
If you're reading this ... you, me, and the Szmatula family are the only ones aware of the honor.
And that's damn sad. Helluvan accomplishment.
Sweep the leg boys.

Can somebody please explain to me why Lucia wasn't replaced years ago? I never would have thought it possible that there would ever be so much apathy toward Gopher hockey.

While all the other schools in the state kept getting better and better the Gophers have slowly slipped into mediocrity to the point that nobody even cares any more....
Very sad what has happened to the once proud Gopher hockey program.
Fire or don't fire Lucia.........it really doesn't matter.

We turned out a kid years back that almost played there ... and here I thought that wasn't something to be proud of.
Thought it was a club program.
APPARENTLY they play D1
