One of the best games this program has played in awhile
Took until OT to beat #1 Notre Dame, but it was a really really good effort all the way thru.
Its not an upset, and should not be a surprise. Hope they don't treat it that way.
The ability is there. It's always there.

Something to smile about in a dismal past week

Checked into this one during the 2nd intermission and noted it was 0-0. Didn't get to see the end, but sounds like a great win!

Found a goalie who might be a difference-maker.

Mat Robson

I like his name. No unnecessary extra T.

I watched the whole game last night and was pleasantly surprised at how well they played for 60 minutes. I started out jumping back and forth between the Gophers and the UMDvsSCSU game, but the Bulldogs put that one away early so I stayed the final 2 periods with the Gophers and it was indeed a great game by them. I hope they can follow up with another strong effort tonight. I too was impressed with Robson's play. He was very solid and didn't put himself in bad spots that Scheirhorn seems to with all of his flopping around.

Game on!

FSN is carrying it...imagine that!?!?

Early PP for the Gophers. Let's get one!

The expected letdown of course.
Robson goes back to JAG status.
Typical reffing, #1 team in the nation involved in scrum? Opponent gets penalty.
#1 team in nation kicks in goal? It counts.
The rabbit ears on hockey refs is probably the most frustrating part of the game.

To me the biggest problem with hockey refs at all levels is they come from the ranks of people that love the game, but can't play it for shit. Therefore, this is their way of controling the game and sticking it to the people that can play it......
And yes, I too expected the letdown and figured they would settle for a split with the #1 team in the nation so I'm glad I missed this one.

It would be like if Gardy was an umpire.

Gophers already up 4-1 tonight and the game isn't even half over.

A win tonight should lock us into the NCAA tourney.

OMG! Our passing game is perfect! Missed a few gimmes. Finally just put one in on an almost impossible shot! When we play like this, we can't be beat.

They just interviewed the Frederic kid for Wisconsin. He just said "there's nothing we can do about it." Sounded bad. I feel bad for these kids that get the mic pushed in their faces between periods.

Gopher recruit Mikey Koster just set Chaskas all-time scoring record tonight
As a junior
As a defenseman

Yeah, we miss him here, kinda.

Looks like a big crowd at the Kohl Center tonight. Good to see.

Would love to see Iowa get a B16 team. Need some local rivalries within the league.

Iowa State is actually a club team power, ironically

Holy crap! Now the camera just found, and I'm not exaggerating, a super-model quality gal. The camera man is clearly not shy about biases or favoritism of the beautiful people. Dude is actually kinda creeping me out.
