Yeah, what a bad telecast that started almost a half hour late so we could watch o/t basketball......
College hockey used to my favorite, but the times and channels are so messed up I don't even bother any more.

In my opinon this coaching staff has been around too long and gotten complacent. And we just lost the only one I would have wanted to keep when Potulny left after last season. It's time for Lucia to retire and get some young blood running this program in my opinion.

The latest local kid I have been fortunate enough to be around, that is now making noise in the hockey world , is the last kid in a hockey family I've gotten to work with for over 20 years.
Last year he fulfilled every kid (out here's) dream .... he signed to play for the gophers one day.
Its the ultimate here. It was always the dream and one we thought we'd never see in our program, or for any kid who ever played here.
So the initial excitement over it has ended, and at this point, the fact that many are saying "are we sure we are happy about it?" tells you just how far this thing has collapsed.
Never thought I'd see the day.
Better crowd tonight, but not much better performance.

Much of their talent now does come from outside.

I think they have to look outside because the best players from MN are no longer going to the U like they used to. Wearing the M is no longer a matter of pride for Minnesota kids it seems.

Status: offline 		So the Gophers were looking really good early in the 2nd period. We had a 4-1 lead after a couple SH goals.

But, just like we've come to expect from this team, they let Michigan State back into the game by allowing a SH goal of their own, plus another goal before the end of the period.

Heading to the 3rd period with 4-3 lead. Gonna have to start using the remote to flip back-and-forth between the Gopher hockey game and the Gopher hoops game. Hoops starts in about 20 minutes.

Took until OT to beat #1 Notre Dame, but it was a really really good effort all the way thru.
Its not an upset, and should not be a surprise. Hope they don't treat it that way.
The ability is there. It's always there.
