I know what you're saying and certainly no offense taken, I was frustrated too that there were chances there to make a play and the offense certainly did not. It was not intended as a fairweather fan simply saying "well, we competed" or "it's a moral victory at least". Though I know that's the way it come across. It was meant as a more positive statement, certainly after the Iowa/Michigan games when many people appeared to have lost faith/written this team off as dead without a chance of being resuscitated. I was certainly frustrated that there were chances to make that statement, and yes that was disappointing. And it was disappointing that the offense could not make a play when it really needed to. If this team had lost 2 or 3 of their last four games then I would agree 100%, with passion about how this team really blew a chance. And while they did fail to make plays they needed to, I think what I was worried about is that this game was going to be very one sided and it was not. I am by no means happy with a loss, and if next week is more the same of missed opportunities by missing plays that were there to be made it will be more disappointing. I, and no doubt everyone, do not want to settle for "we played them tough" or the dreaded moral victory. But given the grave we're digging out of I'm not disappointed in the game as a whole. I look forward to celebrating a win next week. Bless the power of positive thinking. And the fact that we know we can play against a good team. Now we need to take that next step. I do think it's possible. Cheers.
