Danimal or Steve:

What's your opinion of Easton Stick?

An excellent antiperspirant.

I googled his name and got a picture of a hockey stick.

I did too, but scroll down or look at NDSU's roster

I know about him.

I just like hearing the Nebraska guys take on him.

Hey Mark,
I loved Easton Stick as a player. Wanted Nebraska to sign him. A smart player that wins. A dual threat QB that isn't especially fast, but like I said smart and tough. I thought Iowa was going to sign him and was surprised when they didn't. He is pretty accurate and a good leader. I really liked the kid.

Thanks for the info.

Big shoes to fill this year but I think the team will rally around him.

Congrats! He's a player. Nebraska could've used him.

To my eyes, Connor Cook looked really good the other day. (MSU qb) He might become the first player taken in the draft. I don't know what the experts think, though.

With the premium on QB's, Cook could be in the conversation for first pick in the 2016 draft, as well as Goff and Lynch. And, for some reason, people seem to think very highly of Hackenberg.

Plenty of time for things to change though. I could see several other QB's climbing the charts after the combine. I wouldn't be surprised if Coker is one of them.

Also, all it seems to take is one great National Championship performance to get some scouts to overreact.

Cook does look good though. On pace to break the MSU record for TD passes. (Cousins currently holds that record)

It's pretty early in the process, I don't think too many people are worried.

Cody Kessler's name will surface at some point. He's had a good season with a pretty poor offensive line in front of him.

Yeah i don't understand it. Why not wait and see who wins the game between them and LSU before putting Alabama up there. Sheesh.

As somebody on the West Coast, we have seen this east coast/SEC bias for years. The Pac 10/12 was an even .500 against the SEC during the BCS era, but one would never know it.

Again it is on display this week. The SEC and Pac 12 are considered among experts as the two most talented conferences. The SEC has three teams in the top-10 of the initial playoff rankings. The Pac 12...........0

The problem we have is preseason rankings. There is always 5-6 SEC teams in the top-15 to start the season. After beating up on Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Monroe and The Citadel, they are all 3-0 after three weeks and in the top-12. Then, when they finally play one-another, it is somehow spun as a good loss to a top-12 program. In reality, it is the first good team they have played and they lost. In the first two weeks of the season this year, I think the SEC had one road game, Mississippi State @ Southern Miss (they didn't even leave the state).

Give the SEC credit, it is the ultimate hype machine.

The PAC 12 has one team right now that could even think about complaining about it. And that is Stanford.

Utah has played well. Had one hiccup.

IMO, nobody is great this year. On any given weekend, Stanford, Utah, UCLA or USC could beat any one of those top-10 teams. The Pac 12 is very deep and balanced this season.

If you are going to win a national title, you need to have a quarterback. As I see it, Michigan State, Ohio State and TCU are the teams with the best quarterbacks to win a string of games. Stanford and Utah would be my next two choices with good enough quarterbacks.

I give Clemson and LSU no shot at a title. No quarterback means no chance. Clemson at #1 is a joke. They have played one solid game all season, beating Notre Dame 24-22. There is 25-30 programs in the country that could beat them on any given Saturday. They would be the 5th to 7th best team in the Pac 12.

The three most overrated programs every preseason are 1) Wisconsin 2) South Carolina 3) Clemson

Henry looks like every other Bama RB to me.. Based on their "success," I wonder just how good he will be at the next level.

The best college RB I ever saw was Reggie Bush. And I got to see him live a bunch of times.

The second best I ever saw was Ricky Williams, followed in no particular order by Adrian Peterson, Tyrone Wheatley, Eddie George and Jerome Bettis. Warrick Dunn wasn't close to the best, but I loved how smooth he was.

I'm not old enough to truly remember the college days of Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Thurman Thomas, Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson or Marcus Allen.

Some good ones indeed

I didn't like any of the Bama RBs. This cat is different. 6 4 chiseled 245 lbs and will likely run low 4.4s

I think he will be an absolute superstar at the next level

He actually reminds me of Eddie George but with more speed
