Anyone know much about the new Buffs coach?
Used to love Colorado, while overlooking the whole bible-thumping thing.
Glad to see them return to relevancy.

Glad they're on the rise.
Colorado and Utah have been great additions to the Pac-12.
I'd like to see a Texas school add and one other at some point.

Personally, that Buffs area and campus seemed like heaven to me back in the day.
Was always shocked they fell off the map. And saddened.

It is, may have mentioned it before, but my Sister went there and I visited when I was around 22.
I walked around campus one day in the Spring when she was at class and I did not see one girl that wasn't hot.
All long legs, pretty faces and tanned skin.

I'd like to see all conferences limited to eight teams. That way they could play every team in their conference. Big conferences is ruining college football, IMO.

The Big Ten has 14 teams. That says it all. Especially when only three of them are really big, and the rest are mediocre (at-best). I see zero value in Rutgers and Maryland being a part of the conference. I barely see any value in Penn State.

SEC has 14 as well. They only have a big 1

Gives the Gophers 2 legit chances at conference wins?

Agreed. When you have 14 in your conference, you shouldn't be playing Chattanooga or the Citadel in week 11. It should be against league rules. What I have always said is, if you schedule them and lose you should have to forfeit your bowl eligibility.

That's what I like about Pac 12 football. They schedule solid, non-conference opponents. It jumps up and bites them from time-to-time, but if I'm a season ticket holder I want my money's worth. USC had Alabama, Utah State and Notre Dame as non-conference opponents this season. UCLA had Texas A&M, UNLV and BYU. Ticket holders should demand it.

CFB is simply not regulated. Reminds me of how the sport of Boxing was conducted.

If the B10 or P12 champs don't get in the playoff it's a sham. more of an invitational than a playoff.

Truthfully, I think it's going to be USC and Michigan in the Rose Bowl, who many think are the best teams in the two conferences. I watched nearly the entire Michigan/Ohio State game last weekend. I thought Michigan was a better football team than Ohio State.

If Washington wins, they are very likely to be in the big four, which means the next highest rated team from the Pac 12 goes to the Rose Bowl. With a loss, Colorado would likely drop below USC in the rankings. The only thing holding back Michigan would be that Wisconsin or Penn State would have to pass up Michigan in the rankings. I don't think the polls will allow that.

Agree on Michigan being the best B10 team.

If Wash and Clemson were to lose it would put the committie in a spot they don't want to be in.

It wouldn't stun me to see Clemson lose. In fact, I'm kind of pulling for it. I would love to see Washington move up to #3 and play Ohio State, with Michigan getting destroyed by Alabama.

More than anything what this year is showing, is that 4 spots are not enough.

Other than Bama there's about 6 teams that have legit arguments either way

I've long thought to be thorough we should have 8 teams in or 10 with top 2 getting a bye

4 is just not enough IMO

I think they knew that going in. But rather than setting it up correctly the first time they seem to insist on taking baby steps

Hung tough in the first half, headed in the right direction, but that is also a pretty complete Washington team.

Be patient my man. The Gophers have proven that a rebuild take a minimum of 55 years.

As soon as it's clear that the most money can be made by the most people- --other than the players, of course- -this will happen. It's all about money for the powers that be in college football.

Downtown Boulder and the ped mall area is a special place for sure. As is Iowa City and Madison. A very pleasant buzz about those places

I thought the pleasant buzz I felt in Madison when I went to school there had more to do with what caused me to drop out and enter rehab than something special about the place. Seriously, though, I always thought a good college town would be a perfect place to live, especially in retirement.

I never really went downtown Madison until last July when Donna and I wanted to get away for a weekend. We headed to Madison and it happened to be Art Fair in the Square weekend. Wonderful place. So's Boulder. And I lived in Iowa City. Pleasant buzz indeed - nothing mind altering for me.

When I would go to Iowa City in my late teens, though, there definitely was a serious buzz going on, no doubt!

12-is a possiblity. Keep the computer system. Weight Conference Championships and appearances.

Top 4 seeds receive a bye into Quarter Finals and select in order one of the 4 sites ... for example Sugar, Orange, Rose, Fiesta are sites on New Years day. Alabama is first and selects the Sugar etc.

Seeds 5-12 playoff week after Conference Championships with winners facing top 4 seeds in Quarter Finals and the loser eligible for a bowl.

5-8 either host or select a site such as Atlanta, Detroit, Seattle, Yankee Stadium, Minneapolis, St Louis, Indy etc. with 5 selecting first.

For arguments sake a undefeated W Mich team passes Ok St (no champ game) and Loiusville earning the 12th seed.

Wisconsin and Colorado fall but not out based on appearing in Champ game, however Oklahoma does pass both.

Michigan the 5th seed either selects site or hosts 12th seed Western Michigan. 6 vs 11 Penn St vs Florida State 7/10 Oklahoma vs USC 8/9 Wisconsin vs Colorado.

Either bracket or re-seed for quarter finals. Semi finals the next week and the Championship in a week or 2.

Gonna be some pissed off fans out there today. May finally lead to the riots that blow up the 4 game only system. Who ya got? I know OSU will get in on past accomplishments but they got beat by the conference champs.

Hell if that were part of the criteria Minnesota only has 1 less National Champ. Shouldn't we be considered?
