Instead of doing a poll I'll just ask here. I should be able to look back and find it for future reference.

I say at least 5.

I know we'll do this later but I want to get an idea before things change and guys go up and down the board.

I think everyone should hate Wisconsin...

Last season the Badgers only got into the Rosebowl because Ohio State wasn't eligible. Wisconsin teams in general (mostly the Packers) always seem to benefit from some quirk or favorable call ... or some kind of outside help. It's hard not to resent them.

The Badgers are a better team this year, they have a better HC. They are NOT to be underestimated, and will give the Gophers all they can handle.

I agree that the Packers seem to benefit greatly from officiating and commentators that focus on all the positives of their franchise and fans, ad nauseum.

I'm not sure how much the Badgers benefit from favorable calls, I haven't watched many of their games. One game I DID catch the end of this year, was their game with Arizona. It felt to me like the Badgers were totally ripped off at the end of that game, not getting a chance to set up and spike the ball for a chance at a winning FG. I thought they would replay it, and give them a chance at kicking the FG, but it never happened.

I don't think everyone should hate Wisconsin, but I DO think it's o.k. to hate the Packers, the favorable officiating they tend to get, the endless talk of entitlement town, the 'greatest fans around', their 'storied' history, the 'frozen tundra', their ugly colors, etc .....

The king of inaccurate information strikes again.

It was Arizona State, not Arizona.

Oh, excuse me for not putting the 'State' part in there, I hardly ever watch any college football.

Thanks for your Fox'news' type response to a minor mistake.

Thank God we have the 'king of accurate information' to correct such an injustice, lest we lose sight of all the relevant points I was making in that post.

Oh come on now Lynn....I'm all about dogging those dirty Packers, but Barry Alverez runs a pretty good program over there at the University of Wisconsin and the Badgers do have some talent. (minus Stave....good lord)  Sure, they may have lost out to Ohio State last year, but its not Wisconsin's fault that Ohio State runs the dirtiest program in the Big Ten!!!  On top of that, they won the Big Ten title three years in a row.  I can't really count that as a fluke.  Hell, Wisconsin has turned out some pretty good professional football players!  This season they got jobbed by the ref's at Arizona St. and played Ohio State pretty tough only losing by 7.  All in all, sconnie has a decent football program.....and oh, the basketball team just trounced Florida last week.

You just wonder if these kids might be worried that so many kids are coming to bama that the fight for playing time might be difficult.  There is a kid here in Woodbridge Virginia who is an Alabama commit and his name is Da'Shawn Hand.  He had offers from damn near every big name school in the country.   This kid looks ready to play big time ball right now.  I've got the chance to see him up close and watch him play.....Yowzers!  He will do well for himself down in Tuscaloosa!

Biggest game the Gophers have had since Lou Holtz was there.

I don't hate Wisconsin, I just think they are vastly overrated every season.

They put out big beefy Olinemen and pretty good running backs....although sometimes the backs benefit greatly from the massive OLine.  Its too bad we can never get guys like Russel Wilson here very often, although they have a kid from out your way coming in 2015 I think.  Out of Utah.

This season I like Gordon a lot and White has really come into his own.  Any chance White gets drafted?  What about Gordon, or does he come back for another season?

I think this season they are pretty much ranked where they should be.  I think they are sitting at 19th in the BCS....17th in the AP. (I think)

On the contrary, who has Wisconsin beaten? That has always been my point with the Badgers. They always schedule soft out-of-conference. At least they played BYU this season. That is one of the better non-conference games they have played in years.

I'd agree with you with the previous few years, Brad, but NOT this year. I think they are UNDER rated right now, and should have beaten Arizona STATE. I think the Badgers have talent, and now they have a better HC than the previous few years.

The Badgers have a WR I think the Vikes should consider getting in next years' draft, he's outstanding. I think his last name is Abracadabra, or something like that.

Jared Abbrederis?

Abracadabra! Wisconsin is busy recruiting his brother in high school, Hocus Pocus.

Their wins this season are UMass, Tennessee Tech, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, BYU and Indiana. There isn't really one signature win in the bunch. Iowa and BYU the only teams at, or above, .500 in the bunch at 6-4 and 7-3 respectively. In other words, they have played four teams all season above .500 and they are 2-2.

This has always been my problem with Wisconsin. Opening the season with UMass and Tennessee Tech?

But they were essentially cheated out of the Arizona STATE game. So they should really be 3-1 against those four teams that are above .500, the only loss coming against a pretty good Ohio State team.

I hear ya. Didn't they just finish a five year contract with Fresno St.? The soft out of conference team that has your best QB in the 2014 draft?

I think they have finally realized they need a tougher nonconference schedule and they have actually addressed that.  Starting next year they have added LSU to their schedule.  I'm not sure if its a one and one, but it is a start.  there have been rumblings inside Sconnie about bringing in top rated teams to boost their strength of schedule.....looks like thats going to happen!  But I agree, they have had too many cream puffs on the schedule.

Abbredaris.  Very good hands, great route runner and deceptive speed.  He's going to be a pretty good slot receiver in the NFL....and he can return Punts!

Watched him vs OSU and he single handily kept the Badgers in that game. He reminds of the former Buckeye Anthony Gonzalez, with a little less big play ability but more toughness.

I believe it was UNLV you are thinking of. Fresno last played Wisconsin in 2009, falling in double-overtime to the Badgers 34-31. The year before they lost 13-10 to Wisconsin. If I am not mistaken, Wisconsin was ranked in the top-15 at the time in both games. It was the only two times they have met in the past 20 years, and as you can see, Wisconsin wasn't too eager to reschedule the gritty Bulldogs going forward.

My point exactly. Cheapen your schedule and get an easy win. Why play a decent mid-major and risk losing when you can schedule a shitty one?
