ORIGINAL: SoMnFan Yanks pound on the Tiggers and Price, in Detroit. Get the feeling they are not going away. Built a strong enough rotation, (which had been a weakness) and re-inforced it even thru the injuries ... And Cashman is on the hot seat? Wow. Just how bad does the Twins FO have to do their job before anyone holds their feet to the fire? Whats it gonna take? A freaking DECADE of 100-loss seasons? Sheesh. Couple of days ago I heard Roy Smalley praising Gardenhire. He was quick to point out that he has dealt with a wealth of injuries. He also said that he should have won 3 MOY's. I don't give a shit if Girardi ever wins a MOY. I do know that he, or those above him never slide by with the injury excuse. As a fan, I love that attitude from my team. Brett freaking Gardner is the best slugger on this Yankee team, yet they are in the wildcard chase. No crazy-ass salary HR hitter guys on this team. No roided out A-Rod. Jeter most certainly is not feared. Brian McCann, like many before him that thought wearing the pinstripes is easy, can't seem to produce with the brightest lights shining. Teixeira has been awful. Somehow Girardi fields a competitive product every night. This isn't all about payroll, it's about expecting to win, and preparing yourself to be the best. Get the absolute most out of your players. Play the game the right way? Really, that's a Gardenhire thing? For the first time in quite a while, there are numerous bats in the Yankee lineup that couldn't crack the Twins roster. Think about that one. Somehow they stay relevant. There are some young Twins that are going to be good players. Unfortunately they are mismanaged from the top down. I'm sure they will see more success once they leave. I like that Cashman is on the hot seat. The brand expects to win. Excuses don't work. Produce or you may lose your job. Some teams measure production by W's and L's. Crazy bastards.
