For the 1st time in franchise history, @Dodgers are in the playoffs 3 years in a row!

That seems odd to me.
Pretty successful franchise.
Guess its not that easy ...

With the 6-4 loss to the Mariners -- combined with the Angels' win over the A's -- the Astros are now .5 games behind the Angels for the second AL wild-card spot. The Rangers also won Tuesday night, building a two-game lead in the AL West

Because of their late-season surge, the Red Sox look like they will avoid their third last-place finish in the past four years. But for a team that likes to cast itself as perennial contenders, the Sox have now gone to the postseason just once in six seasons.

Still only one game out in the loss column. Need to keep winning obviously but having the Angels have to go on the road to Texas four games with
their division still up in the air doesn't hurt.

Twins go 5-2, Astros go 2-2, and Angels go 2-3 and there is a three way tie for the 2nd wildcard

J.J. Hardy has suffered through the worst season of his career at the plate, and Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reveals the probable reason for those struggles. Hardy said today that he has a torn labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder that has hindered him at the plate all season.

Hardy opened the year on the disabled list due to what the team termed a left shoulder sprain, but Hardy has known all along that there’s actually a tear in the shoulder’s labrum. Asked about the possibility of offseason surgery to repair the issue, however, Hardy somewhat surprisingly said he will not correct the injury surgically. Rather, his plan is to rest the shoulder and then strengthen it. As Hardy explained, he’s gone through the process to repair a labral tear in his shoulder once previously (as a minor leaguer in 2004) and he doesn’t wish to repeat that difficult recovery process.

More good pitchers should move to the NL

Scherzer now with 2 No-hitters in 2015.

and in some cases, the managers to forget how.

Had a friend bemoaning Shame Gardy isn't here to reap the rewards of his pain and suffering. and ripping on Molitor a bunch.

Then he also ripped the org for not doing something like TX and getting a Hamels-type guy.

Gardy did forget. he wanted vets, and had no patience for kids' mistakes. I try to be diplomatic about it, but some are dead-set against Molitor.

Claiming he got the job only because of name.

CC Sabathia checking into rehab for alcohol.
Strange timing. Could guess something was wrong.
The pressure of playing there claims another one. Tough environment.
The ones who emerge relatively unscathed are incredibly strong.
