For a team that won 93 games & AL East, it's often extremely difficult for Red Sox to score runs because of their lack of power. They made Dallas Keuchel throw 30 pitches in the second inning but came away with only one run on a leadoff double, stolen base, walk, strikeout, RBI single, strikeout, strikeout. Astros, meanwhile, have demonstrated their quick-strike ability with five homers already in the series.

Wish we were the Astros.

The Verlander acquisition REALLY puts them in a good spot.
Their ownership (after getting early flak) stepped up, big-time.

Astros on the verge or throwing away a bases loaded, no out situation. They could regret this.

So huge ... Astros (as Matt said) have a bad finish to their last offensive inning ... but their pitcher comes out, and puts them right back on the bats.
Just gotta have arms who keep your momentum.
We are going to be lamenting that blown lead in NY for awhile. (and it SHOULD Have been 5-0)
Simply have to have two better pitchers than we had this year.

Keuchel with another quick 1-2-3 inning for Houston. He's now retired 11 straight Red Sox hitters and has a pitch count of 83 through 5 innings. Throwing a gem so far.

4-1 still

Some of these staffs are so good, you have a guy like Price throwing relief for the Red Sox.

Hopefully the announcers today are loving up their precious "Mookie" (as he throws another one away)
Gag me with a cute Red Sox spoon.

Something about Kluber rubs me the wrong way.
Apparently, the Yanks feel the same way. 8-3 suddenly.

Girardi sitting pretty with a 5 run lead in the fifth ... and THAT pen.

Man, Hicks would look nice in a Twins uni.
But then we'd have to give Jan Michael Vincent Montgomery McMurphy back, and we wouldn't want to do that.

You can't predict baseball. Corey Kluber has his worst start of the season as the Yankees knock him out in the third inning after he gives up six runs and two home runs. He's now allowed 10 runs his past two postseason starts. With a three-run lead, Joe Girardi shouldn't hesitate in going to his bullpen in relief of CC Sabathia. Even if gets though the next two innings, look for the relievers to take over in the fifth.

Didn't expect the Yankees to beat Kluber at home, they did. The overrated relief failed. Betances has become a bit of a head case.

Hard loss.
