Why would anyone give Judge a pitch he can handle.

Your fault Matt.

I agree. Sorry about that. As long as the Dodgers win tonight, I'm still gonna be one happy hombre.

I could be happier, but the Yanks ruined that. Gotta respect them.

I think it is very safe to say that Judge is a stud.

Yanks need to sign him to a long term deal well soon. If not this offseason, then next at the latest. Do what Tampa did for Longoria.

Life is good
Yankees back to pissing off the little people again
And the Cubs fans looked MISERABLE last night
It was glorious
Almost worth setting them up last year, to see the big boo-hoo-ing they're doing now.
Longevity is what's respectful in sports to me.
The Dodgers are interesting as hell
Some great role players. Crazy thing is, the guys making the sweet plays are guys who play more than one position.
They have a guy catching who also plays middle infield. Their slicknSS last night is also one of their best OFers.
Get athletes and turn em loose.
The Twins would pigeonhole every one of these guys.

Which is why seeing Escobar play third every day down the stretch...

works for me. Get another guy with Adrianza to utility. Gordon 2nd half of 2018.

And Put Sano at DH and spell Mauer at first.

Escobar is still hitting prime. Great story.

Imagine if they had ponied up enough to get Dozier.

And your ultra-stud #1 pick?

FTM this year. Keep feeding the kid. He wants to move. Fast.

Amazing pitching staffs on three of these remaining teams
If you don't get to the Yanks or Dodgers early, you don't get to them
The pen choices for those two are incredible. Loaded pens

No, I'm serious. They are very similar.

Both big power guys out of the chute.

Maas OPS+ of 150 in his rookie year. Never had another season over 100 OPS+. These types of guys can flame out in a hurry.

Scary part of last night ... The Stros got to Robertson
And it still didn't matter.
That was their game to take, after the huge three run double off a guy who's nearly perfect.

Lineup that mashes
Staff that throws heat
That's how you get relevant
Yanks had three errors last night.
Pfffffft, who cares now?
Bash and pitch baby.

Fascinating game today.
Does Kuechel have a good one, or a bad one ?
He's had plenty of both.

Sonny Gray, btw .... With a great effort last night.
The dude gets no run support , ever. Odd how that follows some guys.
But he did his job last night.
Really expected some AJ Hinch bashing today.
Really wasn't any reason to go away from McCullers, IMO.
The yanks came to life when he was yanked.

No doubt, Maas had a great rookie year but it was limited. His second year with a 100 ops+, he had 23 homers and 63 rbi's. Not that bad. Judge had a record setting full rookie year. 171 ops+

Remember, Maas' rookie year was in 1990.......steroids were still the rage.
