Jays finally parting ways with Gardys buddy (Gibbons) in Toronto, according to reports.
Been pretty BLAH up there for a couple years.

They are expected to be in full-blown rebuild mode, and he doesn't want to be part of it.

He did SOOOO well with veterans, ya know.

Congrats to the brewers for making the playoffs

Their GM ran circles around Falvine in evaluating and picking up the RIGHT talent, having a good bullpen, and making deals when needed.

Yup - At least I'll have someone to cheer for in the post season.

Some very good examples going on in the league
How to build from nothing and get to the top
How to build something into something really good
How to quickly become relevant

And as usual, our geniuses will go all Frank Sinatra.

You don't have to copy it verbatim, but you do have to have enough common sense to LEARN FROM THEM.

Man, Jacob deGrom just put together one amazing season.
Mad respect on his numbers.
One guy I'd pay to watch pitch.

He's been fantastic!

Mets hitters don't even usually bother to show up when he pitches.

In addition to being a great pitcher, his focus is amazing. He looks like he's pitching game 7 in the World Series every time he takes the mound.

Now THESE are some interesting stats, and I'm not a stat guy.

http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/24801702/mlb-season-116-recap-things-never-believed-now

11 hardest hit balls this year were ALL by Yankees.

Trouts the least-clutch player in the league

deGrom is 10-9

These are all to me.

Bremer almost broke down in tears when he reported this last night. "A great baseball man."

And how about this one?

Joe Mauer is the MOST-CLUTCH player in the league.

Best defense on the validity of WAR that I've seen yet:

Richard Bleier, a lefty reliever who struck out fewer batters this season than Gerrit Cole did on May 4, has more WAR this season than any current Oriole. (Manny Machado and Kevin Gausman were higher, but both have been traded.) If I'd told you this before the season that Richard Bleier would walk through the Orioles clubhouse on Sept. 27 and every other player he passed would have to defer to his team-leading 15 K's and-also-by-the-way-he's-been-on-the-DL-since-June WAR, you'd have correctly intuited that the Orioles were extremely bad.

He was also grousing about some franchise, about how bad they are .... and I damn near drove to the cities and choked him out.
He's starting that crap again ... "oh my, THEY'RE not very good...."
Shut up sometimes dude.

Chris Davis finishes with a -3.2 WAR and a .168 batting average.

That's the lowest BA among qualifying players in Major League baseball history

Whit Merrifield is only the 7th player in history to lead MLB in both hits and stolen bases in the same season.

Hate the Royals because of their recent history of dominating us.
The 2 players I alike are Gordon (from Nebraska) and Whit.
I would trade any starter on our club this past year for Whit. He can play anywhere and is a outstanding hitter.

Tigers play-by-play guys let go after their in-season scrap got too much for management.

No word yet, if Dana White has plans for them.

We will gladly trade them Dick and Bert for a prospect.

Um, why should he get a vote?

Did he get lots of walks or something, because his other numbers scream average.
