Aaron Gleeman@AaronGleeman

Josh Donaldson has a torn right calf and could miss the rest of the season.

He would finish his Yankees career having hit just .207/.293/.385 while missing 159 of a possible 324 games and getting paid $51.5 million.

Donaldson will be a 38-year-old free agent this offseason.

The oft injured old man is a shell of what he was.

The writing is on the wall for Josh....time to hang them up.

Love the Dodgers' Yamamoto signing. If, big if, they can stay healthy then later in the season the Dodgers can wheel out:
- Yamamoto
- Glasnow
- Buehler
- Bobby Miller
- Sheehan, Joe Kelly, etc

Hope they can add more talent. They need to have ace power to deal with any short playoff series.

Add Ohtani and Dustin May in 2025, but I don't know how effective they will be.

A few years ago they were absolutely stacked with Buehler, Kershaw, Bauer, Urias, and May but the wheels totally fell off, similar to last year.

And Dylabn Cease is no longer in the AL Central.

Padres acquire Dylan Cease.

The Dylan Cease saga has come to an end. The Padres announced the acquisition of the right-hander from the White Sox for four players: prospects Drew Thorpe, Jairo Iriarte and Samuel Zavala and big league reliever Steven Wilson.

The big question now is who will the Yankees now panic pay for due to the Gerrit Cole situation? Snell or Montgomery?

I keep sitting here thinking, the Twins have an opportunity for a short time addition to their rotation, Just like Correa a few years ago, they could sign one of those guys to a short term deal with opt outs...the Pohlads just have to act against established norms and pony up when they said they were done ponying up.
