I do think when healthy Joseph is our most impactful player on defense, on a defense of great ones. DT's just never get the credit, but they effect everything else, just like a good OL does. Same thing happened here for a long time with Kevin Williams, while guys like Allen got the credit. IMO.

We gotta get Joseph more healthy next year and beyond. Hopefully the toe surgery helps.

Both Joseph and Floyd need to be healthy and this defense will really begin to click.

After starting to emerge 2 seasons ago Floyd did not have a great year but I think he was playing hurt for the most part.
I think with Joseph garnering double teams a healthy Floyd could really blossom next season.

An off season where we continue to shore up the back end of the defense the arrow is still pointing up.

I think we will be flirting with being the #1 defense next season. In the top 3 for sure.

Incognito played every snap for the Bills this season, and he had by far the best season of his career. Solid in pass protection, where he allowed two sacks, five hits and 12 hurries, he really excelled as a run-blocker, posting the second-highest PFF run-blocking grade. [/I]

I recall wanting this guy, believing in second chances and many in here shot me down because of the bullying thing.

Imagine if he were on our line...

I shot you down hard.

Probably should have only shot you down lightly.

Wonder how his pass blocking numbers compared to Fusco's?

Incognito got his wake upo call by the way the situation unfolded in Miami..

i give him props for getting a second chance and reigning in his ROID rage attitude.

He would have made our line a LOT better in all phases and I think Zimmer would have helped straighten his head and game out.

We wiffed a number of times on OL who could have helped this team.

The Eagles are a joke franchise now

But no one here is missing Chip or buying that fake record

I would invite him up to the opening home game next year and give him the owners box for the day just to piss him off.

One of the guys I work with is from Philly and a huge Eagles fan. He is just disgusted by the whole franchise right now. He won't even talk about them. It's crazy what Kelly did to that fan base in such a short period of time.

Now they are bringing in a guy who basically is a novice at coaching. Brilliant!

SF hired Kelly. I wonder if he'll repeat his roster-purging ways there as well? And in a year or two he'll probably be let go.

Any chance we can convince GB to hire Kelly next?

I thought SF gave him coaching duties only? No personnel say what so ever.

Chip dropped the ball with his personel decisions but to say he was a terrible coach is wrong. He earned that record. They had oline injuries last season and this year he mistakenly hitched the wagon to Bradford, then injuries to the defense finished them off. Sometimes for a coach the worst thing is first year success. People forget the Eagles were 4-12 the season before chip arrived.

Good move by th 9ers, both coach and team need a fresh start. It's low risk as the 9ers are in a rebuild so a catastrophic season won't set them back much further. They have to try and revitalize Kaep.

PITTSBURGH -- Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been ruled out for Sunday's playoff game at Denver, prompting an apology later Friday from the player who had accused him of faking an injury earlier in the week.

In an Instagram post, Bengals cornerback Adam Jones wished Brown well as he recovers from a concussion suffered on a brutal hit from Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict in the final minute of the Steelers' 18-16 wild-card win on Saturday.

After the game, Jones accused Brown of faking the injury and said publicly that he would apologize if Brown wasn't able to face Denver.

That apology came Friday, with Jones saying in part: "AB! My apologies, my brother. I'm a man of my word. I apologize sincerely. Get well."

Chip is not a great coach by any stretch.

People act like winning 20 games in 2 years means something

It doesn't

Rich Kotite did that his first 2 years and more. He won 21 and a playoff game

Ray Rhodes did that and won a playoff game

Chip was 9-3 in his second year and then the league figured his gimmick offense out

He never had a counter to that.

Good riddance

SF hiring him makes the division easier for Seattle as they HANDLED his offense with ease

Chip is an even worse GM. Purging the likes of Jackson, Maclin, Mathis, and McCoy for "salary cap reasons"

Then trades Foles (minimum salary) for Bradford and his 20ml salary(whom was about to be cut)
Easily the most idiotic move I've ever seen in a while

True dat. Especially considering Bradford is the antithesis of a Kelly system QB.

Foles=Bradford on the field

Bradford 19ml > Foles

When you factor in Bradford was going to be released and could have been signed for chump change really shows how far in chip was over his head.

Not even fitting his system makes it down right stupid. He could have traded for RGIII at least that might have made a little bit of sense.

Yup!

Now they have no QB and no 2nd rounder

The money they paid Bradford and Murray could have gone to Maclin

disaster

Could have paid Maclin and Jackson then even Foles would look almost like a qb when he has wide open recievers to throw to

I kind of thought that maybe getting Bradford was a bit of a recruiting pitch to get Murray since they were roommates in college? Not sure the order of the moves, but I also am not completely sure it matters if he knew one could get the other done.

I've never really thought much of Chip as a coach, but I must admit that the seemingly high view that IMO the greatest coach of all time (Belichek) has of him (preseason scrimmages, press clippings, etc.) definitely gives me pause on that thought. Will be fascinating to see what happens in that current trainwreck that is SF. It would seem that this is a make or break situation for both him and Kap. Which who knows, may be just what they both need.
