They just keep piling up the good stuff

The Patriots are looking to claim the AFC's No. 1 seed for a sixth time, which would set the record for most under the current 12-team playoff format (since 1990).

Up 20-0 on the Fins already

This is one future trivia question that no one will get ....

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has officially passed the 4,000-yard passing mark, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards in each of his first two seasons. He needed 112 today and has 124 with 9:45 to go in the third quarter.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald's TD reception gave him 107 catches this season, the most in the NFL. This is the 2nd time in his career that Fitzgerald led the NFL in receptions. The other instance was in 2005.

The Packers are the "most popular" current bet to win the Super Bowl.

Kill me now.
Just do it.

A Cavs/Cubs/Packers trifecta would be WAY more than enough to make me end it all.

Kubiak makes it official.

After two seasons that saw the team go 21-11 and win Super Bowl 50, Kubiak cited concerns over his ability to maintain his health and do the job the way he has always done it.

Kubiak said there wasn't one specific instance that led to his decision, but rather a realization that came this season that if he stayed a head coach, he was going to have to change how he worked. Kubiak said he determined he was not going to be able that change.

"You've heard a lot about me the last week or whatever, but let me just say this: I'm doing great, I'm OK," he said. "But coaching is a very demanding business, tough business ... we all have a routine, we all have our way of going about things.

"I've always taken a lot of pride that I could coach the football team, be there for the players, be there for the coaches, be there for the organization, do a game plan, call some plays on Sunday. I've always taken a lot of pride in the fact I could do all those things, but this year I haven't been able to do that. It's been tough, and for the first time I've had to tell myself, 'Hey, you can't do that anymore.'"

I don't understand how any playoff team in the NFL can get 100-1 odds. Anything can happen.

Ok, Here's my playoff desires.

I hate the Packers, Cowboys, and Seahawks. So I want all of them to lose.
I dislike, but respect, the Patriots. but I still want them to lose.
Steelers, like the Patriots have enough titles so they must lose.
If the Lions win the Superbowl before the Vikings, I will completely lose it. So they must lose.

After all that I want the teams that haven't won a title, or have waited the longest.

So

In the NFC only two teams remain after my initial 'must lose's'. Atlanta and New York,
Since the Giants have won twice in the past decade or so, and Atlanta hasn't won a Superbowl yet...my choice for the NFC is the Falcons.

In the AFC the Patriots and Steelers are out. Chiefs last won in the early 70s. Dolphins two titles after that. Raiders won a couple times in the 80s and went in 2003. Texans have never won.

So my ideal Superbowl would be Falcons vs Texans.

NEVER GONNA HAPPEN.

In the end, if the Patriots go I kind of hope it's the Giants again. I would love for Eli to beat Brady for a third time...

If the Packers, Steelers or Cowboys go I probably wont even watch the game.

I've got nothing against the Lions. Loveable losers for so long and their fans don't piss me off. No way to the Puke/Cowboys/Atlanta and Pats in that order.

KC would be ideal for me. Not a fan but nothing wrong with them.

I'm torn.
I'd be ok with the Lions winning a couple playoff games, but as Trek said ... I'm getting very nervous about being the only schmucks with NO SB TITLES
The list is dwindling people
Hate seeing the misery end for the Cubs/Cavs types.
While we get left at the party. Alone.
Seeing shitty orgs like the AINTS and SeaHags win titles ahead of us makes my skin crawl.

I almost always go AFC once the Vikes are out. Not a lot of teams on that side where I feel - oh no, not them! Chalked full of em on the NFC side.

From least annoying to most on the NFC side:

NYG
Detroit
Atlanta
Seattle
Dallas
GB

It gets exponentially worse as you go down the list. The last two being essentially immeasurable.

Well the Cubs did win one 108 years ago so it's not like they NEVER won one.

In the NFL only four teams have not reached the Superbowl, Browns, Lions, Jaguars, and Texans.

All others have.

If any of them win one before us... Ugh.

Lions would irk me more because then the Vikings who owned this division in the 70s 80s went to four superbowls would be the only team in the division without a SB title. After watching the Lions basically suck for 50 years.

Agreed. Down to their rookie 3rd string qb.

Have to save the farm for a different bet

Potentially throwing away MILLIONS of dollars just to smoke some weed?

Dumb. Collect your Millions, retire from football in 7-10 years then spend the rest of your life smoking dope.

I wish I had a fraction of his athletic ability. Sad he's throwing it all away.

I'd like to believe I'd follow the rules. Certainly if I tried to circumvent them and got some push back I'd like to believe I'd be the squeakiest cleanest yesman I could be with that kind of money on the line.

It will change someday soon. When pot is further and further legalized and it's treated no different than alcohol these guys can smoke their brains out. Unless you get an infraction, or criminal charge from drinking these guys can drink their faces off. But until that day comes - quit smoking!

He's got issues. I've known Gregory for 5-6 years. He was at AZ Western because he couldn't keep it together coming out of high school (was committed to Purdue). Then he had issues before transferring to Nebraska. Trouble follows him around.
