Huskies just keep on winning. 5-2 over CC in NCHC semifinal. They will play UMD a 3-0 winner over Denver tonight.
Current pairwise rankings have the three Minnesota schools in the top 3 spots in the pairwise. That's pretty amazing.

Minnesota State comes back from 2-0 down in the last two minutes and wins 3-2 in OT.
SCSU had a 2-1 lead and scored a goal that was waived off. Then got a PP and gave up the game tying SH goal with not much time left. It has gone to OT and it is Full 20 minute period of 5 on 5.

Just what the Huskies didn't need before the NCAA's. A game that goes on forever. One 20 minute OT done and play continues. They aren't going to back down against UMD. Huskies will be playing American International in the NCAA barring some very strange seeding. AI is currently ranked 19 but will be moving up in the next poll.

FUDGE FUDGE FUDGE!!!!!!!!!! UMD gets the game winner about halfway through the second OT on a 2 on 1 rush. I hate Losing to UMD, but in the NCHC finals I REALLY HATE it. FUDGE. If we had pulled it out we would have been the first team to ever win the NCHC regular season and playoffs in the same year.

So UMD draws Bowling Green to open the NCAA tournament. Yikes. There's some memories I didn't need to have churned up again...

The advantages given the east coast teams is ridiculous
Mankatos had to travel east to basically home games for their opponents, for about 4 years running

I love those years when it ends up all WCHA or B10 teams.
I see Buccigross picked 3 eastern teams in the FF
He is probably the main instigator in the media of that bias.

There are teams west of the Mississippi, pal.

Don't worry kg, if MN State keeps their foot on the gas we will have at least one MN team moving on. A great start for them this afternoon jumping out to a 3-0 lead only 12 minutes into the game.
Spoke too early...just gave up a PP goal to make it 3-1.
