He built a dandy "seat" for me that fit across the hump and elevated me.
Brought me up to "elbow and punch in the head" level.
Thanks, Dad.

I like the way your dad thinks. I'm sure you didn't pass on any of those lessons to your sons.

True story again .... Only day I ever saw him cry ... Was the day Mom made him trade it in on a stupid '72 crap green Mercury.
Drove a wedge between em, that did ....

If I ever got paid a dollar an hour for all the hours I've had to referee my two sons, I'd be rich.

There's an old Family Lore tale my Grandfather loved to tell.

On May 28th 1972, he couldn't wait to tell everyone at the Post Office where he worked in St Paul, that he had bought a new car the day before , a '72 Gran Torino.

He would then deadpan and did that day,

"Oh, I also had a Grandson yesterday."

Here is a picture of that car, although this one isn't actually his.

Who is Pomder? If he is better than Cassel then I assume he is also better than Ponder.

When it comes to Physical talent...I might agree. but when it comes to Quarterbacking, the proof is in the puddin.  When Ponder was in the offense struggled to move.   When Cassell was in the offense was much more effective.  It was the difference between competant and incompetant.

Not sure I've ever seen Vikings experts more terrified by someone than they are of Johnny Manziel.
Wow, guys.
It's threatening to you IF by some miracle he turns out to be a legit NFL QB?
The mass panic is hilarious to watch.
Bridgewater spent most of his Gruden time yesterday bragging about himself. Where's the angst?

The NFL has decided that dunking the ball over the goal post after a TD will be a penalty. PHEW -- I was getting sick of watching players having fun all the time.

Honestly, this league.

Seriously?

Why?

If they are gonna ban that then the "Lambeau Leap" should be banned as well.

First I would like to go on record as saying the vast majority of TD/ sack/ long reception / tackle celebrations are just mind numbingly lame. The only thing lamer is assessing penalties for them.

Celebrating a tackle is stupid.  You did your job Dwayne Rudd you don't have to dance around like an idiot because you did your job.

Most are lame.  And a waste of time imho...that being said, there is no point to the NFL banning them as long as they are not excessive other than the owners being assholes.

But ... Let me guess .... Delaying the game for minutes while Packer players jump into stands = no problem. Right?

I've already stated they should ban the Lambeau leap if they are going to outlaw dunking over the goalpost.

So you guys agree. Is that allowed? Or does everything have to be a disagreement?

Rudd was the worst. The most annoying thing about it, to me at least, wasn't the stupid celebrations all the time. It was the fact that it was 12 yards down the field damn near every time.

Sweetest Ruud memory was costing his Browns a game because he tore his helmet off celebrating. Loved that piece of karma.
Should happen to more jackasses.

2013 version of Rudd was Mitchell. Go nuts making 1st tackle behind line of scrimmage, then making rest of the tackles 6-7 yards downfield.

And celebrating nearly every one of them.
