Had Fox Sports radio on after the game driving

and the commentator from the game, was on....and he talked more about Garopolo and the 49ers than the Vikings.

Not in mid-season form by any means but that's OK. It's not mid-season, and we won, and stayed pretty healthy I think. We have upside.

Love having playmakers on both sides of the ball for a change in Harry and Captain Kirk.
Can they both suck at times? Yeah. Everyone can, and does.
Not everyone CAN make the plays they can.

I'd like a show of hands of all the people who are surprised by this.

Not the smartest move when Kirk went diving for the 1st down, but he earned respect throughout the locker room. I hope he takes better care of himself going forward unless the game is really on the line.

We always end up with Charles Davis on TV...always sides with the other team.

Fun to see the Lions looking all Lion-Like again.
Darnold looks like he might be a real deal for the Jets.
The Raiders started strong and finished weak.
The Rams remind me of the early college FB powerhouses in the south when I was growing up.
My Dad used to make me watch Alabama and Oklahoma and Texas games ... "they play at a different speed, son. Watch and learn."

I love how all the Patriot assistants think they can just go places and succeed.
One day maybe they will all finally admit what Belichek has accomplished.

As great as Tom Brady is Belicheck won with Garrapolo, Cassell, and Brissett too. Brady is a great QB but that coach....

Saturday: Cousins played 'lights out' for VikingsJeff Saturday praises Kirk Cousins' attitude and authenticity in his first game with the Vikings, a 24-16 win over the 49ers.

3. Minnesota Vikings

2018 record: 1-0
Preseason ranking: 4

The Vikings gave Kirk Cousins the keys to the franchise (and $84 million guaranteed) in the offseason and saw some initial return on investment in a win against the 49ers. Cousins passed for two TDs and got a healthy Dalvin Cook heavily involved in the passing game with a career-high seven targets. -- Vincent Johnson

Cousins actually had some throws he'll make, hopefully, and decisions, Hopefully, that will result in some better plays as he gets used to this offense.

Of course, the human enema first down run can be replaced some times. But I think that comes from Zimmer when they're up.

Only that they have nothing to report yet. They are going to keep it secret thinking that it will give them some sort of advantage, or they will make it a "game time" decision.

Rodgers hobbled against our front four is essentially meat. well tenderized meat.

If you get a chance, watch Erins after-game interview Sunday night.
Dude was lit.
If you haven't seen a guy completely out of it on pain-killers, take a look.
THAT'S what it looks like.
So, in today's "safer' NFL, that's ok, tho, right?

Hadn't heard about this

https://www.totalprosports.com/2018/09/10/aaron-rodgers-looked-high-suddenly-developed-a-southern-accent-during-post-game-interview-video/

In the first half of the Sunday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears – Aaron Rodgers went down with an apparent leg injury that would have him carted off to the locker room for further examinations.
He would return for the second half and lead the Green Bay Packers to an historic comeback victory, but it was his interview following the game that had everybody talking.
During his interview with Michele Tafoya, the Green Bay Packers legend seemed extremely giddy and excited. Not to mention, his eyes looked glossy and red and he suddenly seemed to develop a high-pitched voice combined with a southern accent.

High pitch voice too?

Man, that's not

NOT

a good thing.

I would have said he was potted out, but he wasn't asking for Doritos.
Dude was completely lit up.

Most dangerous thing you can do out there, play while numb, imo.
At some point you will get REALLY hurt.

I should say artificially numb.
We've had a lot of guys who are numb, naturally.
That's dangerous, too.

Can guarantee he's not the first one in the last couple of "safety first" years that has been this way. not even close.

Didn't someone come out of the concussion protocol super quick last year or the year before?

Brady?

Teams find ways to get it done, and in the end, is to the player's detriment.

"We have all kinds of new rules"

Well, for SOME people.
The concussion thing always pisses me off.
Some special teamer? Oh my ... get him off the field pronto.
Cowboys QB late in the game? NOT COMIN OUT
As usual in pro sports ..... depends WHO you are

Rodgers plays Sunday

Do you insert a backup early in the game to take him out??

No. I'm not in favor of doing anything intentional. If he's not very mobile like he appeared last night, I play it fair, but blitz the crap out of him and hit him as often as possible legally. If by half time it's not working and he's killing us, I might rethink it, but I don't want our team to be going down that road. Just cream him fair and square.
