I think Mosley can be had around 12-13. And Shazier later. I'd be good with either one in a trade back.

McShay and Kiper had their 1st round mock draft today. Guess who McShay had the Packers picking?

Rodgers is the new Favre; a SB early, and never again. I hope.

SC question tonight; does AD break Emmitt's record? He's about 8200 yards shy.

I say yes, but it depends heavily on the next 2 years. If Norv is what we hope he will be for him and he has two big years? Like 3500 yards or so? Then that goes a long way. I see him playing until his mid-30's with his drive and freak physique. So he'd be 4700 yards away, or 4 "good" years for him (age-wise) or 3 good ones and a couple of end/decline ones.

It'll be tough, but if Emmitt can put up 900+ yds at 35, AD sure as hell can.

Would be so amazing if he did considering our QB/line play with him. Emmitt had the best line ever, easily. Peterson's line has sucked almost his entire career.

Injuries are starting to pile up for AD. That's where I think its unlikely. He's not missing a ton of games, but he seems to be going under the knife a lot.

Emmitt on the other hand missed 6 games over his first 13 years. And in 15 years played fewer than 14 games once.

No doubt. The next two years are big. Not to mention finding a competent backup that can spell him regularly.

Peter King/SI

No. 8, Minnesota. The Vikings are more inclined than ever to get their quarterback out of a bottlenecked group of passers at No. 40 in the second round. Vikes want a front-seven disruptor—defensive tackle Aaron Donald comes to mind—more than anything else up here.

Beginning to think Peter King has jumped the shark.

After drafting Floyd last year in the first round. Signing Joseph, extending Griffing and Robison...we're going to use our No 8 pick on a DT? Think Peter...MMQB used to be much smarter than this.

Agreed. If we draft a DT at 8 I will eat my hat.

I could DEFINITELY see a LB early though. Unless there's a qb they really love, I think the best odds are for them to take a LB early and a QB second.

I tend to agree.

Far too much buzz about Bortles for my liking, though. Hopefully that's just draft talk nonsense.

If Bridgewater is there, they will take him. Then trade back into the first round and take Shazier.

Hope we keep an eye on Seantrel Henderson down the line.
Flunked a drug test or two, but the dude, if he figures it out, could be one hell of a steal.
At some point he'll realize you can make some hellacious money if you lay off the pipe awhile.
Talented as hell and huge, a guy you could build a line around if he got it figured out.

Poor man's Bryant McKinnie at the absolute best.

Didn't say to take him at eight.

Johnny football tests out and works out for the Rams.
They cannot brag any more about him than they are.
We most likely won't get the chance at him at eight, but IMO, we are idiots if we pass on him.
Someones going to have a lot of fun with that dude running the show. I'd love to see it happen here.

But I'm betting he goes to Cleveland, which is worst-case-scenario for him, IMO.

Agree, I don't think we get the chance.

Right

Vikes: Any interest in a Bradford trade?

Rams: Get back to us.

If that.

I don't know, Ed. I'm not sure they're sold on him with their OL of late. Though obviously Greg Robinson would help that a ton. I actually mentioned this a couple weeks back in a discussion. I'd be fully on board with this, assuming a restructure of his contract. I still like Bradford better than any of these QB's and he and AD get along great, so...

Because people have asked… The #Rams have not talked about trading Sam Bradford with anybody. Hasn’t happened #Sigh

No to Bradford. His career completion % is below 60%. His career QB rating is 79.3. He is coming off a torn ACL. I would rather take my chances with Bridgewater.

Not me I guess. It's all about how you feel about these guys. I feel like Bradford, now, if healthy, is one of the better QB's in the league (top 10 or so). Bridgewater I think is likely to be a bust; ditto for Manziel (health) and Bortles. He's also just 26 and coming into his own.

I see how some can not want him, but for me at this time, with this weak QB draft (IMO) and with AD's career getting closer to its last best days, I make the move now.

True. Certainly a risk. It's all about the OL to me. Can our OL and scheme protect him? I'd take the gamble with Norv, who I'm incredibly excited about as our OC. Terrible HC, awesome OC.

Other than when he had one of the best lines in history, Norv doesn't really have a reputation for particularly protecting his QB.

I'm talking more like QB play alone there. But we shall see.

At the end of the day, I'd just trust Norv to pick his QB and go with it. If he likes Bradford (and this chatter, if true, would signal that) then get him. If not, go with whatever of these crapshoot draft guys he wants and see what he can do. Draft-wise Carr is my guy in the late 1st or early 2nd. He'd be a lot higher if his last name wasn't Carr, and I still think David would have had a heck of a career had he not been beaten to hell for 6 years.

This is me 100% too. I'm a big TB guy and don't want anything to do with that guy, with his injury history and salary.
