I cringe every time Rodgers butters Zimmers ass with his fakey "guy is great about defense" comments
Ol Zims little buttons just pop right off
He's setting you up, coach, and you're eatin it up
The rest of the division is, as usual, laughing it up
At least the Twins dinosaurs win division titles. gulppppppppp

Every year we get bitch slapped by the Packers and every year, the playoffs show us the reality that the Packers are nothing special.

Didn't we beat the Packers??

I'm talking the year over year scenario. Yes, we did get a flukey win in GB this year thanks to once in decade winds.

So you are saying we out coached them by running the ball more.

Their inability to stop the run is the only thing that won the game for us.

Rodgers still had 300 yards and 3 TDs, but they left a ton of plays on the field where the wind caused misfires.

I'm all for cleaning house. Zimmer probably not going to be an Andy Reid and finally take the next step.

But, I can objectively look at a team decimated by injuries and an opt out (starting 6 rookies) and think we might have overachieved a little bit.

I'm trying to do the Andy Reid thing too
Like Zimmer's magically going to awaken at some point
But... we're screwed, because Reids awakening was about OFFENSE

According to Pete Bercich during the game, Jefferson was open all day. Someone might want to clue Kirk in that it is okay to look for him.

Kirk likes those white receivers

1 quality win

so they've beaten the crap team s they match up with

Whee!

They're not the only team decimated with opt-outs and injuries.

Implement Jefferson and/or Thielen as the check-down receiver Friday vs the Saints, cuz they'll have little time to throw.

Zim is so far behind Reid, there is no chance he catches up.

Reid had a 19-10 Playoff record in Philly. Made it to the SB 3 times and only got knocked out in the 1st round 2 of 9 times.

Even if we compare just their first 7 years:

Zim: 5 Playoff games. 2-3 record.
Reid: 12 Playoff games. 7-5 record.

Kirk likes those white receivers

JJ: 11 targets
Conklin: 4 targets
Smith: 4 targets
Cook: 5 targets

Thielen: 3 targets

Facts got in the way again. As they usually do.

Grades are live! The highest graded #Vikings on offense and rank among the NFL (pending MNF) :

Justin Jefferson 84.0 (6/101)

Dalvin Cook 72.0 (11/42)

Tyler Conklin 69.9 (18/32)

Brian O’Neill 67.3 (28/62)

Riley Reiff 67.0 (30/62)

Grades are live! The highest graded #Vikings on defense and rank among the NFL (pending MNF) :

Cameron Dantzler 90.7 (3/92)

Hercules Mata'afa 81.2 (7/98)

Todd Davis 79.6 (5/83)

Armon Watts 76.2 (22/120)

Jeff Gladney 71.8 (T-19/92)

IDK how any lineman or Todd Davis could have a high grade giving up that much rushing yardage

O'Neill & Reiff highest graded linemen. Reiff gave up a strip sack. Must have gotten bonus points by recovering the fumble.

I'd just like to say that Tyler Conklin made be a believer on Sunday.

He catches the ball and then, Unlike Kyle Rudolph, does something with it, including yards after contact. That TD was a thing of beauty...and there is no way Rudy makes it into the EZ on that play.

Plus he's a better blocker.

I've been pushing for a bigger role for Conklin for a couple of years now. He was one of the reasons I wanted to cut bait with Rudy before we drafted Smith.

Agreed no way Rudolph scores on that play, nor gets 30 yards that Conklin did on that other catch.
Irv was looking better, then clanked that TD pass. Unfortunate, but those 2 make Rudolph history

I doubt his hands are as good. Lets not take that away from Rudy but his speed is off the charts compared to 82. That is gonna be a big help on the cap. Yes, it's time to move on from 82.

True. Rudy can make that one handed catch, while tip toing on the end line of the end zone like few people in football. Unfortunately, that is all he is good for anymore. I don't think he could beat a sloth in flip flops in a foot race. Can't get down field, can't get to the place where he needs to deliver his blocks.
