True, Trekkie. And I'm not saying he has/did. Just saying I feel very comfortable in him leading this team. Glad it's getting started now. Now we need to figure out RB and LT.

Don't get me wrong. I'm as excited as the next guy. The Poise factor alone, making reads, taking hits to get the throw off and completing some tough passes...The future is bright. there were a lot of positives from this games. but I want to see more TD drives.

I agree he's handcuffed by the Asiata running game...and Kalil is doing him no favors, but we can't annoint him YET.

Three things were noted at the bottom. I would add a fourth thing

Fans are idiots.

And a fifth thing

People on the edge of the fray would rather continue drinking their beer than get involved.

Not annointing him, man. Just saying that I, personally, feel very good/comfortable about him and am excited about the future. Haven't felt that way at QB for a long, long time; maybe ever.

Another freaking china doll
Loved him originally, lately he's just been frustrating
Basically started Cassels shitty day yesterday by dropping a ball that would have stopped the early NO momentum.
Had to reach ... Big F-ing deal. Well-paid stars catch that ball that's slightly behind you, 99% of the time.
Tired of our individuals not making big plays, and then shrugging it off like it's not their job. In every sport we follow.

If you were as excited as the next guy you would have led with that - not with expecting people to temper their enthusiasm for the start of the Teddy era.

One part of one game and he's not arrived yet - you don't say...

Stop it. You don't get to tell me how I express my excitement. I am excited for the guy. But his first game was no world beater. There are things to be excited about. But he didn't light the world on fire.

How about you just post your opinion and stop telling me how to post mine.

Yup. Hear ya Lynn.
Hang in there.
Seriously (for one of my few times)
Long-time fans deserve much better than they have gotten lately.

Ultimately, we are not the victims. In fact, we might be the cause. Expect better, demand better. Stop giving your money to something you don't believe in. Hell, go to a movie. Or stay home. Just make a decision and ride it out. Really no reason to complain if you are financially supporting the teams that now anger you. The only real power we have, we don't use.

Agree with every word of this.

I've had full or partial season tickets for every team in this town at one point or another, with the Vikings being the constant for 22 years until the license fee larceny.

They're all gone now, and I don't miss them. At all.

I will happily support the one team in this town that currently deserves it (Wild).

The rest?

Always the next best thing to the Vikings making the playoffs?

The Packers NOT making the playoffs.

Hopefully that will happen this year.

In all seriousness, if we can somehow win this week, not all hope is lost for this season. 2 wins out of the first 5 is what most of us were hoping for/expecting. It's downhill from here. Plus our division is overrated IMO. Good teams, no one great.

Was looking at that yesterday too
We could conceivably get back in this thing
Every week should get better for awhile. Our D will actually have some time to improve coming up soon.
If we build a good plan for Teddy to succeed while letting him learn, this could get fun.

Anyone watching the mic'ed up session with Jay Cutler?
My god. He's even more unlikable than previously thought.
One of those arrogant know-it-alls who tries hard to be the "funny sarcastic ass"
And fails miserably at it. Arrogance just literally ooooooozes out of his pores. It's amazing.

Dunno, man....way too many holes on this team, IMO. Good teams will eat them alive.

I'd honestly be surprised at this point if they wind up with more than about 4 or 5 wins. The next 3 look like definite L's for sure.

Unless, of course...Teddy turns out to be the next Joe Montana.

Hear ya, totally possible.
I just felt I saw different stuff yesterday from our defensive scheme and it's execution.
It was better. Long ways to go, but better.
I'll be disappointed if we're not .500
And I've been assured Teddy IS Joe Montana (at least).
So we have that going for us, which is, ya know ... Nice.

Why is Asiata the answer? Whynot try the other guys?

Don't get that either.
Why not the other two young guys?
They've shown some good things.
Try em. Give em the damn ball once in awhile.
I feel like someone else who said Asiata does basically what Toby did. Surprise em once in a great while. Can't bank on that.
Establish the kids as regular runners. Give em the ball. Nothing to lose.

It's the Peterson factor. It's going to take a bit to get out of that funk. It doesn't help that we have viable options to replace him long turn. I think TB is a good start though. It finally gives the team hope. Cassell was/is a good guy but lets be honest, not a single guy on that team thought we would go far with him. And, especially with Peterson out of the mix.

No doubt man. I know it was against the scrubs but damn, Banyard looked like the best out of the 3....BY FAR. Why not try him? Even for a half. What's to lose? You know what Asiata gives you.
