Our prospects may crash and burn, but not our buses.

MLB.com First mock draft

6. Minnesota Twins
Jon Harris, RHP, Missouri State
Some college arms, like Kyle Funkhouser, are sliding a bit because of performance. Harris, on the other hand, has his arrow pointing up, even if he did leave his last start in the eighth inning because of a blister. Tucker's name is mentioned a lot here as well.

(Florida high school outfielder Kyle Tucker)

Tucker's name has come up as a potential top five pick. His brother, Preston, just made his big league debut for the Astros, and Kyle has the chance to be a better all-around player.

They are a Braves affiliate.

So it's not unfortunate?

The one downside of the Hicks callup is man, it's tough to look at the Rochester squad on days when Meyer isn't pitching...other than Pinto. Ugly roster.

Kepler with the lone hit so far for Chattanooga. .747 OPS so far. Not exactly "tearing it up" but holding his own for a kid that just turned 22 and is in a tough league in AA. Great to see.

Edit: Almost ditto for Harrison, maybe to an even better extent. 22 years old and has an .830 OPS so far.

We have some depth in our prospects there at Chattanooga, fellas. All of those guys are not that far away.

Harrison has 10 doubles already

15 RBI's now as he drove in Sano, who is 1-2

Dustin, you're right, there is not much to follow at AAA right now.

Yep, Ed. But AA is freaking loaded. Best collection of talent in the minors for any org right now IMO. And one of the best ever.

And you're right on Harrison, Ed. I've been really impressed with his approach this year when I've seen him. Just a professional hitter IMO. And still just 22. The power hasn't translated for him or Kepler yet in terms of HR's, but it still probably will in a few years. Right now both are becoming doubles machines.

Again, so much depth right now on the offensive side.

Hey bud, believe me I'm happy our talent is in MN and just 100 miles from me.

Last month.

In a short time went from 3 to really follow, to 1(Pinto)

I just get the feeling the AA kids will only see Roch playing time when they slump and get a demotion. Else they'll jump right from Chatt to the bigs.

Nah. It's like one of those "this doesn't belong" puzzles. He's too good for most of our pen.

Walker now has 8 doubles. Had 19 all of last year in FTM.

SLG is .559 Lots of strikeouts and only .300 OBP. The power is tantalizing.

Milone fanned the side in the first. Would not be surprised to see him and May switch.
