Would prefer him over Nolasco in the rotation. I think most of us would.

Trevor May pitched pretty well for awhile. I'd give him several more starts to see if he gets it back.

I'd have May in the pen and Milone temporarily in the rotation, then taking over for Duensing in the long man lefty role. But Berrios should not be far behind for the rotation. It sure seems like he doesn't have much left to prove in AA.

Last year in AA: 3.54 ERA, 40.2 IP, 33 hits, 12 walks, 28 K's, .222 BAA (OPS info. is lacking for AA)
This year in AA so far: 2.60 ERA, 45 IP, 37 hits, 15 walks, 53 K's, .224 BAA

He needs to face some veteran hitters at AAA before we bring him up to the bigs.

Maybe so. I'd like to see him get some time there for at least a few starts. I think it's time, despite his age. Maybe call Milone up, put May in the pen, and put Berrios in Milone's spot in AAA?

Need to find a desperate for pitching team and eat the contract.I don't see him gone any other way.,

Achter gets the 9th, in 1-0 game. Milone should get a call up after this. Nonsense if he doesn't.

20 strikeouts, 2 walks in 14 AAA innings. He needed to cutdown walks; methinks he's done it.

Can we split it 50/50 with the new team you think?

Agree. He has about $34M left on his deal (including a $1M buyout for 2018). You gotta figure the Twins will have to eat at least $20M of that.

His no-trade clause only covers 3 teams/year so that shouldn't be an issue.

He has to pitch way better and healthier to even get another team interested.

His curve and slider are both fringy, below average right now. And he has trouble commanding his fastball. He's just been bad or injured his entire 1 1/4 years with the team.

It is a longshot in my mind but I sure hope it is a possibility.

I think he is our mistake to live with. My only wonder is how long we put up with him.

Probably right, Stacey. I think even the AL is off-limits. He's clearly a JV league pitcher.

Put him on waivers, when he clears, send him down. Or let me guess, he has a clause in his contract saying he can't be sent down. Wouldn't be a bit surprised. Doesn't it make perfect sense to send him down for atleast a half a dozen starts? Stretch him out, get him pitching 7-8 innings a start. Call him up the end of June in time to build some trade value and deal him in July.

That's pretty much not the Twins m.o.
They paid him to be a major piece of the rotation for a long term and think there is a pitcher in there. Will give him every chance to regain some semblance of his form (mediocre as it is) at the big league level. They wouldn't do that quite yet, if ever.

Let's wait until he gets his ERA under 6 at least, shall we?
