Dal v Phi. Clearly the goal of NBC at least is to not have more than a second of silence.

It's like the various apps and sites that have to come up with content no matter what it is.

The latest trend is a headline that looks factual, and towards the end of the announcement This is an opinion not a ~ real thing.

That game last night was a tale of two halves.

First half, defense optional.

Second half, offensively challenged.

All but 3 points in the game scored in the first half.

What looked like a barnburner at the beginning ended up being a dud. but the weather delay probably had a lot to do with it.

Jerry Jones " we are one impact defensive player from winning that game" I wonder who they could have had?

Det looked rather ordinary. Their oline couldn't even handle a Clark less GB dline.

Hutchinson was invisible.

GB came to play.

Parsons wasn't invisible.

But Det should be very worried about its oline. That was one of their strengths. If Goff gets flustered he starts throwing the ball to the wrong team. He's looked good the last couple years because the Oline kept him pretty clean. Losing Ragnow to retirement has had a far greater effect than they realized, Methinks.

It was nice to see the Lions get knocked off the pedestal a bit. but Losing to the Packers is not. Packers have already matched their division win total from 2024.

Parsons is definitely a force. Sewell looked like dog shit. Det looked very flat and didn't put any pressure on Love.

Devin Hester's favorite punter is at it again.

What an attention seeking loser he is.

That's a political post designed to look football-ish.

Why don't you take it to the Political threads? That whole section (to include music, etc) was built to keep the Vikings threads about the Vikings and football.

You played tag line cop to me one time. You told me to keep political tag lines off the sports boards. So I deleted the one I had made.

You don't seem to care about tag lines that support your political agenda. Seen plenty of them since then but you turn a blind eye.

I'll stop with this now. Anything else on this subject I will PM you.

Tags and posts are apples and oranges in a way. I view tag lines differently than direct political posts in the Vikings/football threads if a person posts primarily in the political threads.

I don't recall playing tag line cop (but will defer to you on that) because I don't notice let alone read tag lines. They are sort of in the background. If I did comment on yours it was because it was new (ergo it caught my eye) and/or was pretty ****ed up.

If someone read specific posts in the political thread, they'd know what the tag was about. Otherwise, it doesn't show any political bend or lean.

But I'll delete it regardless.

Jim Marshall is a nominee again. Odds are still stacked against him getting in. Too many players with good resumes so it would almost have to be luck of the draw. And while SB appearances alone shouldn't dictate things, they are a factor when a player did great in the championship games and SBs. Or when a player was invisible. Marshall has zero sacks vs Miami, Pittsburgh, and Oakland (1 vs KC). And although rushing was in vogue back then, they ran all over the Vikings to the tune of 196, 249, 266 yards respectively.

And Foreman, no.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Senior Nominees

Quarterbacks: Ken Anderson, Charlie Conerly, Roman Gabriel, Jack Kemp, Don Meredith

Running backs: Ottis Anderson, Larry Brown, Roger Craig, Chuck Foreman, Cecil Isbell, Paul "Tank" Younger

Wide receivers/tight ends: Mark Clayton, Isaac Curtis, Lavvie Dilweg, Henry Ellard, Harold Jackson, Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, Stanley Morgan, Art Powell, Otis Taylor

Offensive linemen: Jay Hilgenberg, Chris Hinton, Joe Jacoby, Mike Kenn, Bob Kuechenberg, Marvin Powell, Dick Schafrath, Jerry Sisemore, Walt Sweeney, Jim Tyrer, Al Wistert

Defensive linemen: L.C. Greenwood, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Jim Marshall, Harvey Martin

Linebackers: Carl Banks, Maxie Baughan, Mike Curtis, Larry Grantham, Lee Roy Jordan, Clay Matthews Jr., Matt Millen, Tommy Nobis

Defensive backs: Dick Anderson, Bobby Boyd, Pat Fischer, Lester Hayes, Albert Lewis, Eddie Meador, Lemar Parrish, Everson Walls

Special teams: Steve Tasker
