Diggs and Hunter adding to what the Texans had, wow !!!

They should be a fun team to watch, anything less than getting to the 2nd week of the playoffs will be a disappointment for them.

Adding what? Large salaries?

Diggs is a diva and Hunter is always hurt. As I see it, they took on a lot of baggage.

Hunter had a major neck injury that cost him 1.5 years.

He never missed a game before or after.

And he's coming off the best year of his career. Career highs in Sacks, Forced Fumbles, Tackles (Both Solo and Ast), QB Hits and he led the NFL in Tackles for Loss.

He's had 108 tackles-for-loss in 119 games. In other words, he makes less than one (potentially) impactful play a game. Lets not conflate his production. He's never been one of the top rush-ends in the eight years he has been in the league. Tons of potential. Nobody argues that.

You can play that "game" with any NFL player.

Its a dishonest argument.

It's not dishonest at all. Hunter has always showed potential, but has never been considered one of the best at his position.

Brad please stop with the lying.

Myles Garrett
Micah Parsons
Nick Bosa
Jermaine Johnson
TJ Watt
Max Crosby
Trey Hendrickson

I could name another five on top of that I'd rather have.

Admittedly, I don't think much of defensive ends. Without good corners they are irrelevant.

You stated that Hunter has NEVER been considered one of the best at his position. You named a bunch of pretty good to great Defensive ends. A lot of them came along after Hunter was already considered one of the best at his position. That doesn't change the FACT that Hunter has been considered one of the best defensive ends. You know what you said isn't true. You know that Hunter has been considered one of the best at his position and that is why I'm declaring what you said as a lie.

It's been slow in here so:

1. He's saying inflamatory shit to start debate
2. He's trying to drum up more arguments for his belief that "defense starts at the corners"

I think he's bored.

IDK..they’re eating 30 million in dead cap aren’t they. It’s a discounted high 2nd to me.

Reading up on it, the Bills could have waited till next year and had no dead cap.

But, the team made a run late in season when it quit trying to force ball to him and Allen starting running more.

I do think Demeco Ryans can get the best out of him.

Diggs is still extremely good. IMO great deal for the Texans.

Now, Diggs gets the rest of his contract wiped away and can become FA next year.

I think Bills saw a huge contract squabble coming up and got what they could get.

When JJ and Chase get their big deals, look for Diggs to be looking for the same.

He really shouldn't have done that (wipe out the contract)...wrong side of 30....he is in Thielen territory. Perfectly fine first 10-12 games but body is done for playoffs.

If he comes out strong, and he probably will, there will be pressure on Houston to extend him.

Totally agree.

Hard to say anyone faired well in this trade.

49ers take a WR.

Looks like Aiyuk or Samuel will be traded.

There is zero question that the Vikings preferred JJ to Nix evidenced by trading up to 10 and not risking somebody else doing it. I'm going to play a little Devils Advocate. For those who are less than thrilled with McCarthy and the decision to trade a 4th round pick plus a 5th for 6th swap to move up to 10 the Vikings could have just called the bluff and stood pat at 11. Worst thing or possibly best thing that could have happened was McCarthy got sniped at 10 and we take Bo Nix at 11. Rookie Camp reports are in for Bo Nix. They are extremely positive in general.

Do not construe this to mean I preferred Nix. I'm very happy with the choice of McCarthy, but I will be following Nix career with a lot of interest.

Reports coming out now have Kirk making peace with the selection of Penix by the Falcoms.

Kirk Cousins insists he isn\'t angry with the Atlanta Falcons for drafting Michael Penix, Jr.

Cousins was asked on the \'Bussin\' with the Boys\' podcast if there\'s beef between him and the Falcons over the draft.

\"No, I don\'t think there can be. I don\'t think it\'s helpful,\" the quarterback said.

\"We\'re trying to win the Super Bowl and it\'s hard enough. So let\'s all be on the same page and let\'s go try to win the Super Bowl.\"

Via \\\'Bussin\\\' with the Boys\\\' Podcast

IMO Kirk had a bit of a right to be upset over the Falcons using pick 8 to draft his replacement when they could have used it on Dallas Turner to help them win now.

Larry Allen’s daughter in shock after Cowboys legend dies on family vacation: ‘Nightmare’
By Social Links forAndrew Crane
Published June 4, 2024, 12:21 p.m. ET
Jayla Allen, the daughter of Cowboys Hall of Famer Larry Allen, was “in complete shock” after her father died unexpectedly Sunday while on a family trip in Mexico, she wrote in an Instagram post Monday.

Larry Allen was 52 years old, and the cause of death has yet to be revealed.

“I don’t know how to write this message and what to say,” Jayla Allen wrote on Instagram, while sharing various photos with her father — including one seemingly from a Cowboys game and one with his gold Hall of Fame jacket — from different stages of her life. “I am in complete shock. I feel like this is a nightmare and I can’t wait up. Every night I would pray to keep you safe. This doesn’t feel real dad. I am heart broken and don’t know where to go from this.”

So, a guy dies and his daughter is in shock?

I think this would be more newsworthy if she wasn't.

It's very sad. and I am not on you about it kgdabom. Just seems silly to report something like this. Of course she's in shock. She expected her Dad to be there for another 30+ years. She's heartbroken. Well, Duh. I feel terrible for her and the rest of his family. She's still in the denial stage of grief it looks like... no surprise at all.

I’m unable to generate any feels for that. It’s already gone from my brain.

I’m not completely broken. One time I saw a meme where a potato was growing some damn long ass roots trying to survive in a dark basement. Hit me hard. I wanted nothing more than for that potato to have lived.

So… Mark thinks money should be free?

Of course they must pay taxes..

It not anyone’s responsibility to pay those taxes, except the person earning income..

If they are too stupid to understand their “adult” responsibility, why hammer on the IRS or the NCAA for the foolishness of greed?

No one “forces” them to engage in NIL licensing.

Welcome to the real world, coddled, entitled “ star athlete “..

What I got out of your post is the unrelenting complaint about the inability of pampered, entitled people, in all walks of life to embrace the responsibilities of being an adult..

Why do you take the position that they were being abused by the NCAA originally, by making million off the marketing of college superstars with no kickback or fair compensation….other than the opportunity to get a top tier education, for the cost of physical wear and tear, as long as it didn’t interfere with the performance show pony’s ability to please donors and pull fans wallets out of pockets, on game days, like clockwork..

now the IRS, is “abusing” these poor, poor young Adults? , just because they have an obligation, realized or ignored, to pay taxes?

I started paying taxes when I was 12.

I immediately read up on what and why the “IRS” and the Federal Government, required income taxes.

After learning the why and how, it seemed appropriate for me to contribute to social welfare and government needs.
Not an issue then, or now.

I understand the need and purpose of paying taxes.

It is not a difficult concept to grasp.

If certain idiots, hadn’t spent decades, reducing funding for education, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

50 years ago, education was much different.

Civic duty, responsibility, and an understanding of how the government is supposed to work… WAS TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS.

Now, all the newest citizens see and hear is, how to lie, cheat, and complain about how taxes are collected, what those taxes are sometimes are used for, which is made out as “ supporting the unworthy leaches”.

No one educates individuals, on the whole package, such as roads, police, fire, electricity, water, national parks, defense, and literally, a hundred ways those taxes they pay, PROTECT every citizen from a vast variety of exploitation and harm.

No-one points out that the society they live in, in America, and the schools that exploit them, and the corporations that get richer and richer on their labor and intellectual property, has been designed to use them like milk cow cattle, drain them dry, and cast them aside, like used condoms.

They, these poor, abused athletes, are willfully, happily, ignorant.

It’s all about living large and thinking only about material gain, and they bring the suffering upon themselves, then whine about it being sooo unfair. And find sympathy from others who give them a pity party when reality bitch slaps them upside the head.

Their failure is given to them, by embracing willful ignorance.

I am not feeling sorry for any of them.

Athletes were/are well compensated (free tuition, housing, top notch meals, tutors, etc) employees with some employers (universities) making big profits. Sounds like the real world. Every one of them has always been free to start their own team and rake in those profits.

Now the IRS will be taking them to the cleaners? The horror!

I'm surprised they haven't been paying taxes on all that collective income.

I see precious little Erin wasted no time pulling his diva shit with the Jets this year.

You’d think one would have enough decency to not be a douche when 99.9% of your 1st year was a nothing burger.

Being a douche is hard wired into Erin's DNA. I don't think he has a choice.

Unbelievable! Trevor Lawrence signs the richest contract in the NFL. 5 years and $275 million.

His career stats were virtually dentical to Daniel Jones' going into last year. The Giants tried hard to get Maye and dump Jones.
