He goes from this team is collapsing to Playoffs in two days.

This team is frustratingly inconsistent. They struggle just to get to .500. When they do rarely get there, they usually go into a swoon and we're right back to 4-6 games below .500.

I don't see playoffs in this season's future.

Heck I didn't at the trade deadline either....but they bought, didn't sell.

They've been better than I thought they would be....but they are still too inconsistent to make a run.

I will say the future looks brighter. Young guys are doing well. I found this year more enjoyable to follow than I expected. And the pitching additions were done well. It was an appropriate effort for where they were at. They didn’t swing for the fences totally but they added actual major league talent, which was more than they had.

A healthy Lopez would have been nice. And Ryan has had his usual health ups and downs. But every team deals with injuries.

The problem with this year is you can see the talent in Culpepper and Jenkins (on offense and defense) and yet they held out on bringing them up......it is and was a poor decision that will probably be the reason they don't make the playoffs.

Culpepper at SS is making plays look easy; things that Gray, Lee, and Kriedler can't do. Same in the Outfield....Jenkins or Rodriguez over Larnach or Keaschall.

Keaschall has to keep playing. He’s doing well. They have found a leadoff guy.

I was at the game last night and stayed for the entire game. Yes, even after we fell behind by 5 runs in the 12th. That's some commitment! Got home at 1 AM and back to work at 8:00 this morning. What a trooper. Very frustrating that we didn't win that...especially when the Tigers played with 5 infielders and 2 outfielders and we couldn't even make contact. Sad really.

He doesn't have a defensive spot.

Then get him one next year. All winter to sort it out.
