Let's try out your screwball logic on facts.

Phil, how many people in Thailand ate pizza with their left hand yesterday, and enjoyed it?

FACTS!

Facts are right there....you don't follow the Twins. No story you create can deflect from it yet you jumped into a post that was all about (the Twins).

Was that the post where you stated the Twins cut $30 million in payroll a couple of years back? Or the one stating you'd probably rather watch the Bananas?

When you don't understand maybe you need to ask Brad H and get his approval?

I realize you are being facetious here....

but I would guess nobody in Thailand ate anything with their left hand...

In many a asian culture the right hand is for eating the left for wiping your ass.

Just throwing this out there.

Why would I?

I have not replied to him today or in the recent past. As in zero times.

I have not used his name today or in the recent past. As in zero times.

You however.... not only have you dialogued with him today, you've used his name in at least a half-dozen separate posts. just today.

Why is that? Fixation? Jilted lover? Name of the Day?

Now.

I have to rant.

What the **** are the Twins doing?

They BUY at the deadline. They are playing for the playoffs this year (****ing retarded ass line of thought on their part imo), but that is what they were doing... and when Austin Martin goes down, they bring back a third catcher when the following are available and on the 40 man roster iirc....Emmanuel Rodriguez, Matt Wallner, Gabriel Gonzalez. and if they made room on the 40 Walker Jenkins....

Any of them would be better than a third ****ing catcher that you will hardly use.

It's shit like this that just makes it look to me like you aren't really trying to do anything this year but hopefully generate a little more interest down the stretch. put a few more butts in seats. The only reason for not promoting a Rodriguez right now in place of Martin is arbitration eligibility or some shit like that. Jenkins would have to be added to the 40, but I can name a few worthless pieces of crap that can go for Jenkins.

It just doesn't make sense what the **** they are doing. If you are worried about winning now, future arbitration eligibility shouldn't enter into your considerations. Nor should 40 man roster spots, there's plenty of dead weight that can be dumped.

**** this front office/ownership pisses me off.

I totally agree with every sentence.

Jenkins, Rodriguez, Mendes, Wallner.....all make more sense.

Also Aaron Gleeman wrote a column about the exact same thing:

TGS: After the Twins won a playoff series, management cut payroll. At that point I said I'm done. I wouldn't spend another cent of the Twins. Won't go to any games. No longer listen to radio or TV broadcasts and no way I pay for any TV packages. All I do is read the box score and the play by play on ESPN app after the game.

The Pohlads are terrible owners and MLB is a broken professional sport. No kids spontaneously play baseball anymore in the summer. And how could a family afford to go to games unless they are fairly wealthy.

This is why they drew 1000 people max for a couple games the opening week.....

I disagree with kids playing baseball portion....it is still very big in this area. You don't see them as much playing outside as I do see them inside at the Community Center working on their craft almost all winter and they have the pitching machine up at times all year.

Our family purchased a new scoreboard in 2007 using memorial $$$ after they renamed the field with my brothers name at the High School he attended. Also my dads cousins put together a fund to bring water to the dugouts and other areas. If you look around almost every town has a very nice baseball ball field.

Yes Phil, there are more opportunities for youth baseball. Organized youth baseball. Nice ballfields, etc.

But they don't spontaneously get together to play the game to the degree 30 and 40 years ago. Consider basketball. Kids still gather at the courts and play the game and self referee the game.

The spontaneous playing of sports has seriously declined. And to soon, kids are told to make the decision on which sport they will focus on.

I don't disagree with the 3 sport athletes are going away take. I just know in this area baseball has huge numbers.

No, it's never surprising when you go to a Twins game. What would be surprising is if you went to a Twins game and didn't tell us.

If only there was a song entitled "Keep it to yourself" that was about Matt's baseball fandom.

It’s a stadium that somehow managed to incorporate all the worst elements of its era.

Target field on the other hand remains a gem. So we got that going for us at least.

Every time the Twins are on the verge of giving me reason to get excited, they yank the rug out from under me. Stop pretending that they are in contention. Get the prospects up here and find out what we have.

Rumor has it they don't want to bring up any more of the top prospects because in the likely event of a work stoppage next season, the minor leagues would keep playing, if they are are called up the prospects wouldn't be able to play in the minors next year by some rule. So THAT is why no Walker Jenkins or Emmanual Rodriguez is called up.

Of course, Wallner could have been called up, AAAA player that he is...and that would have been better than a third catcher that hardly plays. But since Austin Martin is right handed, and they didn't want another left handed hitting outfielder...

I am really exasperated by this charade they call "contending".

The rule you mentioned doesn't apply to Rodriguez:

Emmanuel Rodriguez homered in game 2 today as well.
He’s got an .896 OPS.
Wasting away at Triple-A while out of options in 2027.

They keep on winning....everyone should have BDS. The ballpark brings in fans a few years after it opens......winning does the rest.

Built a two story clubhouse in 10th grade out of leftover neighborhood construction material that looked better than that dump. Hate to think what that ballpark looked like BEFORE their owner hoodwinked the public into forking over a half-billion dollars.

Maybe it was pull tab revenue, IDK.
