NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers' "guess" is that holdout franchise player Le'Veon Bell reports on Saturday.

That would be similar to what Aaron Donald did a year ago. It would allow Bell to collect his Week 1 check without suiting up for the opener. In Bell's mind, he would still be getting paid but saving a game of wear and tear as he heads to free agency. Either way, it appears there's a zero percent chance Bell is active against the Browns, leaving James Conner for fill-in bell-cow duties.

I'm going to do my best not to see his commercial. I'm guessing that people who agree with his politics will love the commercial and think it's awesome.
Those who don't agree with his politics will hate the commercial. Please let me know if I'm right.

It's a good commercial with a great message independent of everything else.

Will those who dislike the politics see it that way? Does the commercial give a message of what a great person Kaepernick is?

I was already inclined to wish the Eagles bad luck this year.
I hope they lose every game that Foles starts. I bet Wentz comes back just in time to face the Vikings.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Carson Wentz (knee) is expected to be sidelined "several more weeks."

Per RapSheet, Wentz could be sidelined until October. Wentz reportedly looked great in pre-game warmups on Thursday, but the Eagles are intent on being as thorough and cautious as possible with their franchise player. RapSheet reports that had Wentz just torn his ACL he would have already been back by now. It's his LCL damage that has prolonged his recovery. Nick Foles, despite his playoff heroics, looked dreadful in the preseason. Foles' early play could certainly have an effect on Wentz's timeline.

I don't necessarily disagree with his politics or his message. I hate that he is poisoning the game of football with politics. So fair to say I will avoid the commercial. And avoid buying Nike products. Is it supposed to air during football games?

So when it was a shoe promoted by a selfish money grabbing player who stands for nothing...that's ok. Someone that stands for something you don't even disagree with...boycott. Doesn't make sense to me.

The commercial isn't about Kaepernick or his politics, but you would have to see it to understand that.

He has polluted the game of football with politics. Everything thing else associated with him is just an extension of that. And let's not pretend that his association with Nike isn't a direct result of that, even if they are not pushing the politics down our throat.

The NFL IS politics, and they have the stadiums to prove it.

That was a great introduction to the Anthem and a great performance of it. Made me feel good about being an American.

Nailed it. Where would our country be without nonviolent protest?

This thread made me look up the commercial. They nailed it.

Chief Nimrod is the one that made it political in the first place.....but our right wing friends are too blinded by their racism to see it.

Nice name calling. I don't like Kaep spitting on the flag and anthem. People pretend he isn't, but he himself said that our country/flag/anthem was not worthy of his standing. I find Kaep to be a ridiculously misguided person. I don't think he believes what he says he's standing for.

Also I don't like Kaep. I'm not going batshit crazy. Just telling it like it is.
