I might be wrong but as long as Zimmer sticks his nose in the offense we won't win.

IMO, he needs to shut his mouth, get out of the head of the OC, and call his defense - maybe set up a team meeting or two.

That sounds like what a defensive coordinator does.

Kevin Stefanski, huh?

Ok, let's do this - a little more creativity would be nice!

What do we want? For DeFilippo to be fired!

Will it solve our problems? Not at all!

When do we want it anyway? Now!

Yes, but some are more to blame than others, and it is not the same every week.
In general, it's this:

1. O-Line
2. DFlip
3. Priefer
4. Kicker
5. No TE
6. Clock Management
7. Zimmer
8. Bad tackling
9. No third receiver
10. No fourth receiver
11. Griffin
12. Cousins

Wasn't that long ago we were hearing Flip was going to be considered for head jobs? Hmmmm, this might, right or wrong, put an end to that talk

Flipp was only a portion of the whole problem...

I sure hope now he at least is a bit forthcoming about what went wrong here...

Likely just another Norv Turner type scratcher that everyone keeps quiet because they all wants jobs in future in the good ol boy networks...

Had Allen enforced the rule, the Vikings would have received a first down at the Seahawks' 14-yard line with 5 minutes, 38 seconds remaining. It needs more than creativity. It needs a solid scheme. Flip runs an offense that is probably the worst possible scheme if Cousins is going to be the QB. There was a good article that featured a lot of insight from Brendan Shannahan on the schemes he used when Cousins took over in Washington. He really broke down Cousins strengths and how to use them. Flip's offense seemed to be to do anything, but that.

What gives me hope is that Shurm wanted Stefanski to run his offense in New York. Luckily, the Vikings wouldn't release him from his contract.

We will get an apology letter later in week from NFL, nothing more... No public disclosure, likely no reprocussions to the refs other than they just lost their grades to make PO positions on ref teams

Well outside of a trade Cousins isn't going anywhere but dang he's playing poor.

Should have been gone two years ago: Mike Priefer, Kyle Rudolph, and Laquon Treadwell.

Should be gone by next season: Compton, Elflein, Remmers

Pick one and toss the other: Zimmer, Flip

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP DRAFTING CBs in rounds one and two when our Oline can't block the Golden Girls.

Agreed.

I would toss Zimmer right now and give Flip a shot at the last 3 games.

But Flip's lack of creativity in short yardage (motions, picks, exploiting edges while faking up the middle) have me extremely concerned about him as well.

I'm putting lack of creativity on Zim. He said a couple of weeks ago he wanted simple.

Zimmer is the stick the stirs the drink...

unfortunately its very watered down and flat... the ice has melted and its needing a few new shots infused to pep it all up...

At some point the bartender may be best served to just dump the whole damn thing out and start over with a fresh drink...

Obviously not the ideal way to get the opportunity but I couldn’t be happier for Stefanski. He’s an exceptional coach who understands players’ skill sets and everyone respects him. I’m excited to see what he can do. #Vikings #skol

Priefer gets a lot of heat because of his very politically incorrect rant. Frankly I think his impact is way overblown. I doubt he is working with the kickers stroke.

Zimmer is likely more to blame with his treatment of the kickers.

They will fire the lesser officials(side judges, back judges, etc...)

They will not do anything to a guy wearing the white hat because that would really show the ineptitude of guys they think have a grasp of all the rules.

Oakland got Carlson to be more compact so I think they can help or hurt kickers.

Actually, he does work with kickers on their stroke. And after this many years as an ST coach, he damn well should know what he is doing. Both Carlson and Walsh had talked about Priefer making adjustments with their stroke and their timing. The kicker is only one part of ST. Priefer's coverage units have also been prone to giving up the big return.

Shurmur wanted him so maybe we somehow get a lift here. It really can't hurt at this juncture.

If he were calling the plays I would agree.

But he's not.

He wants a solid running attack as it controls the ball and keeps the other team's offense off the field, plus it makes play action work a lot better.

Creativity isn't the problem, it's that we have a sieve for an Oline.

Yup. And Zimmer seems really proud about the way that Preiffer is able to spot "problems" with kickers mechanics.

So they fired Flip, huh?

This is interesting. It should allow us to better narrow down who is the worst. Did we get rid of the problem...or did the problem scapegoat a different problem?

Time will tell...
