247 Sports is closing down their message boards is the way I hear it. Do we want to recruit from Purple Thoughts?

This may have more to do with the defense he is practicing with than his own play.

Per the Chicago Tribune, #Bears third-year QB Mitchell Trubisky’s first two weeks of training camp were “uneven and occasionally frustrating.” (Evan Silva on Twitter)

Here’s another guy who struggled in training camp.

Became the MVP that very season...

I don't take the depth chart too seriously at this stage of the preseason.

By the way, they are speaking very critically of Drew Samia on Skor North right now. They say he has been very disappointing and might even be cut. Wow.

That would really suck if he busts. He was very highly regarded coming out of college and we made a minor move up in the draft to get him. Now if he gets cut because everybody else was just too good I could live with that.

He will make the team. Samia will look better in pads during actual game situations. He's a mover and likes to play through the whistle. You can't judge that stuff during practices.

He's got a lot of information to process, but so does Bradbury.

Lower body strength needed to improve and he is going against good to great DLineman every play so I can see where he might struggle.

Still, this would be a big whiff if he is a bust.

They whiff most of the time on OL 4th round or lower. Maybe most teams do.

I didn't realize he's continually running against the 1's... and of course Hercules.

Meatsauce was raving about Samia last Saturday night. I want to see these players for myself in a real game.

Then you must wait until Sept 8th at the earliest, but even then he has to play for you to see him.

Based on the stuff that gets imported here from keen twitter experts, you'd think he won't make the team. But assuming he does, you might not see him until 2020. Or maybe in a couple of goal line plays if they go with like 9 blockers.

How many OL that you don't expect to contribute THIS season, but who you want to protect from other teams, can you keep on your 53 man roster?

A good kicker will likely become available just before the season starts. If Bailey continues in the mid-70% range, I'd take the best one I can get that has been signed to a practice squad. That's how the Chiefs got Harrison Butker, who's one of the best.

bailey is only 31 and he was one of the better kickers a few years back...how did he lose it so early?...anyway, i agree with this - we keep our eyes on the teams where there's a real competition....

He was with Congressman Dean Phillips. I think he's more of a fan of Phillips and he came for curiosity to the camp- I could be wrong. Phillips may be a fan. I will resist political commentary even though I am tempted.

Paul Allen on #92Noon said #Vikings CB Mackensie Alexander has been practicing on the outside the last couple of practices.

The move suggests the team could slide Mack out and use Jayron Kearse, Marcus Epps or Bené Benwikere in the slot if needed. (Sean Borman on Twitter)

Seems like he's never fully recovered from that 2017 groin injury.

Dan Bailey thus far today: 3-for-6, with at least one of those misses on a bobbled hold.

That's Rick Danmeier territory.

Only Danmeier highlight I can remember was a great onside kick after he shanked an extra point to tie a game. San Diego I think.
