#Vikings rookie safety Marcus Epps indeed has made the 53-man roster.

Saints CB Marcus Sherels was placed on injured reserve, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Friendly reminder. There is no such thing as a Final roster. Unfortunately, some players will believe they’ve “made” the team today and then get released in the coming days. Rosters are fluid.

Every year it seems the final 53 just isnt the final 53 - getting let go at anytime would suck but it seems to me getting released a couple of days after making the final 53 would have additional suck to it

The news that Brandon Zylstra has been cut by the #Vikings is obviously good news for rookie wide receiver Dillon Mitchell.

Uh oh. I might have stop my kgdbom needling.

I don't see the upside with Beebe. He is not able to run the right routes, and he's athletically challenged. what's the point?

Yet another decision I never understood. to keep that joker for as long as we did.

Count me as happy the guy is gone.

I tried to tell you guys he wasn't much different than Chili. Except the part where we competed in the NFC title game instead of getting ran out of the building.

Let's keep our crap together. We don't even know who the final cuts are yet. Or, how we approach the season from a coaching standpoint. I have faith.

How is Beebe better? Financially, maybe, but Treadwell was better last year and in preseason this year. I'd get Doctson before keeping Beebe as others have said.

Let's hope we start out hot. Theres plenty of talent on the team that we could still win a lot of games imo.

Really? We made it to the championship game with 3rd string Qb. He had Seattle beat two years prior and we were snakebit. You speak like he has been 6-10 every year. He isn’t a top 3 coach in the
NFL but not far behind

#Vikings keep just four receivers in Thielen, Diggs, Johnson and Beebe. Dillon Mitchell cut.

I'm not as bothered by the Sloter decision as others, but if you don't understand that backup QB is a critical position, you really have no business commenting on anything with regard to the roster. I know you're a big front-office guy who rarely questions them, but backups are part of roster-building and team development, and this regime has done a fairly poor job of doing that (see OL, LB, backup QB). They've done well finding front-line guys, but the failure to secure and develop OL in particular has cratered whole seasons repeatedly.

Good point. It's like you've got the big wave and then the follow-on wave or swirl.

I don't speak like he was 6-10 every year. Because neither were! As far as top 3 goes not even close! He's probably not even in the top 15. We have tons of talent on this team. Having said that this year will tell us a lot. I still feel we can win a lot of games this season and i'm ready for next weekend already!
