Barr is a bizarro case IMO. When Zimmer uses him the right way our D is dominant. When he doesn't and we play passive, he goes incognito and we get 'normal'. It's weird as hell. Why not attack all the time like we did last week?

My guess is Zim will press the edges but refuses to live out on the edge. He has to be pushed to do it. I too would rather go balls to the walls and live with the results even when we got burned. **** we've lived with a VERY poor prevent in Zim's time...what we want and the risk associated isn't worse than seeing that.

I mentioned last week that the defense appeared to be more aggressive, and the scheme a bit different.

I still wonder if some of the defense was actually being called by Edwards instead of Zimmer. Zim said he was going to concentrate more on the offense, so I wouldn't be surprised Edwards was calling a more aggressive game plan.

If so, I hope dials it up against Stafford as well.

Zimmer said he was going to be more involved in the offense before the season started, I wonder if he took control BACK from Edwards after the defense stumbled out of the gate?

MVP for the game goes to Murray. Without his 9 for 22, we woulda never softened up that defense to allow our playmakers to make plays.

I don't know Pager. Cousins 1 foot QB sneak to start the play set the tone.

My concern about marijuana is that it may be a gateway drug for other drugs or activities. (such as teenage sex) According to this article, it is not clear whether it is true or not, but I believe the link is very likely.

https://www.drugabuse.gov/

Sorry to post about this on a game day. I hope that the Vikings deliver us a nice Christmas present day with the securement of a playoff spot.

my friend, if you're searching for 'the' gateway drug look no further than your own liquor cabinet...99% of drug users tried alcohol as their first encounter with drugs....

Agreed. Another gateway would be fathers who abandon their family.

Another gateway would be fathers/mothers who stay, but shouldn't. Myriad gateways...myriad stepping stones. If everything that contributes was illegal, we'd be shutting down a lot of religious institutions, too.

Spend some time in an AA room and you'll learn how much damage is done to people that people have no idea about.....

Are the times next week set in stone or are they able to be flexed? I didn't think there was a sun. game so why is Seifert retweeting this?

So with that, the Sunday nighter next week *should* be Colts-Titans. Outside shot at Bears-Vikings.

Bears-Vikings would be massively unfair to the Eagles, because if the Rams win earlier the Bears will rest guys.

I thought the last week of the season only was the regular noon and 3:00 games so no teams would get shorted going into the playoff weeks.

Didn't know the reason but I thought they weren't going with Mon on Week 17 any more - didn't last year

Are you serious? 27 minutes of the first half the Vikings did not have a first down. If they play like that in any other game vs. remaining opponents they lose by 20 points.

now this is interesting...the vikings are putting their playoff team together....

Chris Tomasson@christomasson
Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell is inactive today as both Chad Beebe and Brandon Zylstra are active.

I guess even Dalvin Cook said “Nobody can cover Chad Beebe”.

I seemed to recall reading how excited Treadwell was when Stefanski was named OC.

Evidently he didn’t see this coming...

Yes, treadwell said that he was expecting to see a lot more balls come his way — but he sure didn’t see this curve ball today....

It would have fouled off the butt end of the handle anyway...

Not an impressive win by the Vikes, but a win nonetheless. Obviously, they had a tough time getting up for a game against the hapless Lions. A little disappointing, but not surprising. I’m confident they’ll be extremely up for the Bears game.

Wrong....Ill take a road win where we couldn't do anything right for the first 20 some minutes. Trap game but the defense played out of this world until the offense did its part.

In order to win the game it isn't about a series or one quarter....Vikes won the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Quarter.

The best teams are usually .500 on the road even against mediocre teams.

Damn DPI (which looked weak to me) could mean we're playing in Chicago in two weeks - if we're playing in two weeks

I’ll take a road win as well, but if you think that win was impressive you’ve set a pretty low bar for the Vikings...

Not sure the one you were talking about. The one that gave Sea the first down?
