We were defending conference champions, we always have been and still are a playoff caliber team, we are the most feared defense in the league and other teams give us their best shots trying to prove to themselves they can play as well as one of the best teams in the league.

We may not have the best record, and I can’t speak to games like buffalo, which I could not watch and other games where this team beat itself..

This is My Vikings Team...

I might not like or agree with management decisions, or coaching calls or play selection, but I have ZERO control over any of that.

All I care about is wins..

We are in road to the super bowl mode and have been for 5 weeks...

Now more than ever, it’s win or go home, from here on out.

I, for one, choose to be a VIKING..

Take no prisoners, pillage and burn cities, kill, maim and destroy, ripping the heart and fire, the very life, out of an opponent that is across that battlefield from me.

Blood must and will flow..

Yours should be curdled and thick with fear, gazing into the fury of my vengeance and resolve.

SKOL
VIKINGS!!

This is some really disturbing stuff. It is a football game. Sheesh.

Says the guy who slaughters parakeets for the fun of it...

Go suck an egg.

Merry fkng blocksmas, asshat

No shit,

I remember some of my Coaches talking just like this.

I even remember NFL films great John Facenda making similar references in his shtick. (Albeit toned down a little)

I guess we need to make allowances for those who’ve never heard such talk in pregame speeches, or let alone ever wore a jock strap.

Good win.

Awful start.

OLine can literally get overwhelmed at times.. Happy they turned it around mid game.

Cook is special. Quick feet. Sturdier then most think. Elite burst.

Cousins was solid.

We have such a great pair of receivers, relieves some of the angst of the Travis Taylor era.

Freakin Rhodes.... I hope he’s OK, but damn is there a game he hasn’t been helped off the field?

I'm glad we have the young guys coming up that we do. I'd trade him for Oline help if there were any takers. It's getting way past old now.

Seems like every time he gets beat he comes up lame. Been going for a few years.

Rhodes is a very good cb. Good cb's get beat sometimes. No shame in that.

Wish he would quit the theatrics.

I've always liked Zim but I ain't going to lie his handling of publicly calling out the OC got under my skin. And I believe made us a worse team.

See the part in the interview where he says he went up to Stefanski and told him they were stacking the box pretty good maybe throw some more is so telling to me. IOW, he has to tell him it's ok to pass or we're going to continue running into a brick wall if he doesn't?

Hmmm?

Come on coach!

Fun fact: Vikes lead the league in sacks (50 total). Last time Vikes led the league in sacks was 2011, when they ended the year with 50 (tied with Philly) and Jared Allen had 22. Vikes had 37 sacks last year, so nice uptick.

C’mon rick..

The coaches job is to get the best out of everyone, coaches and players, every day, every game.
If he had to pull stef aside and point out the failure of a game plan, that’s his fn job.. I don’t care if he had to do it publicly or not, that’s his call and his style.

Maybe it would be more PC to do it in private, but then people would be thinking steffanski pulled his head out of his ass, all by himself, and is brilliant at making the needed adjustments..

Zim showed leadership and I admire his willingness to take that responsibility and not coddle others.

He has made public comments about players and coaches in the past..

It is what it is.

Zim is the best coach we have had in quite a while and he can not be all things to all people..

You want him to dress in drag on the plane ride home from a road game?

Those days are over..

Nice to see Cousins throw the Hail Mary, rather than the dump off / multiple lateral end-of-half play. Sometimes QBs don't have the arm for a Hail Mary. Other times a QB seems to not want to risk an interception by throwing it up for grabs. Good to see Cousins does the right thing there.

ha ha - yeah, I'm not too concerned with the PC thing. But I can't help but think he has gotten into their heads (at least Flips) where it affected the ability to call a game.

Just my thoughts and I know it's out of character for me.

No, I don't want Zimmer fired

So all the talk is straight out of ragnorok’s play script.. the entire drama of the season seems to come down to “cousins” can’t win..

“He’s a choker when important big games are on the line..”

I guess thst’s why we play the games...

1 guy does not a team, make..

This team is better than the bears.. believe it.

morgan didn't play in our last game with the bears...having him should help - the bear's o/d-lines totally kicked our line's asses last game...we need to do whatever it takes to shore the lines up...morgan - play six o-linemen...run blitz to the quarterback to contain trubisky....

gedeon played mlb against the lions and that's where he belongs - not on the outside...play wilson at 'will' and make gedeon our backup to kendricks...wilson had a sack and three tackles for a loss - we need to have our most athletic players on the field to contain trubisky....

blitz barr, kendricks, wilson, alexander and smith....

I like Wilson. He's very active and a sure tackler.

Gideon not so much.

in base defense, kendricks is our middle linebacker...last sunday gedeon played middle linebacker in base defense and wilson played on the weak-side - which happens to be where gedeon normally plays in base defense....

in nickel, wilson played in kendrick's spot....

i'm with you on gedeon and that's why i've personally recommended to zimmer that he use him as a backup to kendricks when he returns....
