First we read the OL sucks, Zimmer gives the O no freedom, etc, then suddenly Stefanski is dirt.

Maybe there is this coaching mindset set by Zimmer that we are going to run our best plays and by golly let's see if the D can continue to stop them. Because the non-adjustments extend to the D as well.

I would rather see Stefanski return, but water under the bridge now.

Agree with all. I would have preferred continuity overall if there was continuity at all, but as I said above, not overly concerned about Stefanski leaving since I'd assume one of the Kubiak Klan will be OC.

Totally not seeing what the Browns are seeing in Stefanski.

Not a great play caller but perhaps he's been around long enough to delegate authority as a HC.

If he plans to have a defacto OC and call plays Things could sideways in a hurry.

browns problem now.

Another thing I don't get is not letting their new GM hire whom he chooses as HC.

The misses on the Ol and Treadwell have been crushing.

Paul Depodesta is the Browns chief strategist and he's big on analytics as is Stefanski. We shall see, the jury is very much out on Stefanski. How much of this season's improvement was on him and how much on Kubiak?

ESPN: Jimmy Haslam told reporters last week that the new head coach would be "heavily involved" in whom the Browns hired to head the football operation, and that each would report to ownership as equals.

To which I say, who does Stefanski know better than Spielman, who is heading into 2020 on the last year of his deal. Ohio homeboy.....do it, Browns. Your 17 2020 draft picks will thank you forever.

After 40 Years of the Vikings NOT winning the Super Bowl, I’m not sure I’d care that much anymore anyways.

It’s like the girl you long for sleeping with 25 other Dudes(some of them multiple times)
before giving you some.

Seems it would be a lot less fun.

Excellent analogy. The Vikings are kinda like an old whore.

Stefanski to Browns.

I miss the old days when you had to be good at your job to get a promotion.

Or at least APPEAR to be good at your job.

The NFL doesn't require much to become a head coach. I wonder how some of these bozos even have a job to begin with. A bunch of overpaid idiots.

Luckily Diggs and Thielen have been pro bowlers, but we should've been able to find a competent 3rd receiver, though Bisi could be nice late round find, he just isn't there yet.

Bradbury looks like a whiff, not sure how long it takes centers to get it. Alex Mack from what i recall was good from day 1. Elf has regressed, but he was a 3rd rounder. OLine is about development, for whatever reason these guys haven't developed except for O'Neil.

The “improvement” might have been fools gold.

Look at the performances against only the good teams the last two years.

Not much has changed.

Pretty good article. Sums up my feelings pretty well
In a silo Cousins a “good” QB
Team has worse record comparing last 2 years vs 2 years prior
Signing a guy like that impacts your ability to improve in other areas
The online got worse as the game went on, but 1st half was very good. Just missed throws
Even Zimmer said yesterday he wasn’t sure why the ball didnt come out
About half the sacks yesterday were on the QB

The offense was way more in control then in 2018. However it would have been nice to run more of Flip's offense early on vs the 49ers, instead we ran vs a defense that basically sees the same plays we run in practice every day.

Sometimes it's more important who you play rather than how you play. Those years the Steelers made the SB (2005-2010), the key was the Ravens knocking out the Steelers' biggest threats. I still say it wasn't so much the Eagles knocking us out a few years ago it was the Falcons who matched up well with Philly and they could have done the dirty work for us.

The 49ers were the one team we absolutely could not matchup to. Dominant DLine and dominant run game. Yesterday reminded me of the Seahawks game, where they just blasted the D off the ball for 6-8 yard chunks. The Packers did the same. Only difference was we didn't luck into a few big plays. In reality aside from the Diggs TD and Kendrick's INT this game could have been 34-0 type game.

Further to my point, the Vikes did the dirty work for the 49ers, perhaps the Titans are doing the dirty work for the Chiefs, though no one wants tackle Henry right now.

O-Line was horrible throughout. When was Cousins supposed to get rid of it when guys were on him as he reached the peak of his drop. Your narrative is tired.

BTW, you've never addressed where you came from or why 95% of your posts consist of bleating about Cousins and Zimmer. Are you Andy Lowe?

I think Cousins can be an adequate qb but he certainly has his warts. mainly how long he holds the ball. which certainly helps make the oline look even worse if thats possible.

You have some good analogies.

This isn't one of them.

It would be more satisfying knowing all the time and close calls that have happened. Ask a Red Sox or Cubs fan?

It fits just perfectly. Souhan loves it when Vikings lose so he can rant up a storm.

The interesting decision will be if they extend Cousins or not.

Coaching and GM extensions can be reversed with a check.
