The Vikings have played 12 quarters of football. They have mostly dominated their opponents for 11 of them.

We need to get Diggs loose and get IrvII the ball downfield and this team can become scary. And, of course, Cousins playing solid.

Next week is a huge game for Cousins.

I assumed the win this week. Next week Cousins might have to win it.

Maybe he got the big contract and has "shown them".

They said during the game that he is smart, but he certainly has bad judgement. He could easily hurt himself by doing that. I mean, didn't he hurt his forearm or something earlier in the game? Is that how he did it? Probably not, but anyway I bet the league looks at that. It's not like you can't hide that under the bright lights.

The best thing about the game for me was the play of Irv Smith, Jr. It wasn't just his pass catching, but also his blocking. He's a force to be reckoned with.

He's very efficient... but nothing down field.
That being said... he'd probably do very well with this Viking team.

Agree on Smith. Run after catch great, too.

I loved the pick at the time, looks like it will pay off. Rudy has to be OK with Irv getting the majority of TE targets though. It will benefit Rudy if he gets less attention from D anyway.

I wish he would have gotten less attention from our front office.

I'd like to see Rudy on the trading block.
I think we could get good value and could use the cap room.

Agree, love Rudy the guy, but I was advocating him as a cut candidate, definitely not an extension.

A real head scratcher for sure. We like to hold on to players too long and overpay for some strange reason.

I would take a 7th round pick

Nobody would pay that much

We shoulda just let him play the year out. Like many said on here over and over and over.

Irv is already a far superior player. We coulda used that 9M next year to sign Harris and be on our way to signing Mac.

Just looked again at his contract status and it was worse than I thought. What a horrible extension for a guy who can't live up to those #'s.

Same here. Griff has been great this year so far.

I thought for 8M it was a decent deal. I didn't expect him to play at his ProBowl level. I thought we'd also see lower snap counts for him, more weatherly and obi wan.

next season griffen's cap hit is $13.9m...from my prospective he's more valuable than rudolph or barr right now, but we paid those two big time for the next couple of seasons and that's really going to hurt our attempt to keep some of our solid younger players - harris, weatherly, alexander and maybe include kearse, wilson in there, too....

wilson looked good filling in for barr last night...

The NFC North is currently undefeated against all other divisions in the NFL. The Chicago Bears will look to keep that going tomorrow night against the Washington Redskins.
