ORIGINAL: Bruce Johnson I'm getting hammered on Twitter now. I wish I could do a poll question here. Let me ask everyone who cares to respond- do you like the idea of trading for Williams? I am opposed to it because the guy hasn't played a full season for about six years and he's 32, wants a big long term contract, and the I believe the salary cap will actually go down next year. Oh. Plus we would have to give up a higher draft pick. I think I would have to have a really good idea what would happen next year under the salary cap if they play games without crowds before I would consider giving him a big contract even if it did not cost a draft pick. Same with Harris. I am not saying that I am against it, but if the thought is the cap could go down by a big number next year, than I am 100% opposed to either. Thank you. That is the kicker for me. I was fence straddling before. I don't know what the draft pick sacrificed by the Vikings in the trade, but I do believe we can get a really good player in the second round, especially if we sweeten it up a little bit with a trade up. The big thing is that Williams rarely needs help.....we had to help Reiff at times with a TE, etc. It would free up Rudolph, Smith Jr. more. Are we getting a Whitworth (SP) LA Ram LT who maintained until he was 40 or are we getting a oft injured but talented LT?
