They suggest I start with one meaningful activity each day. I shouldn't just sit on the sofa. I might do laundry or visit an outpatient doctor.

I found this Vikings related nugget.

Andre Patterson on why he wanted the #Vikings to draft DE D.J. Wonnum:

“He’s long, he’s athletic and he’s very smart... When I got a chance to visit with him at the Combine & watch him work... When I found out how smart he was and his desire to learn and try to become a great

And this from Borman.

#Vikings OC Gary Kubiak on TE Irv Smith Jr.:

“Very impressed. That was a great pick by Rick [Spielman]. Irv was a very young player coming out and the biggest thing for me is I just see so much upside... We ask him to do a lot. I made him learn the F position as well as his TE

One more from Borman

Maalouf mentioned K.J. Osborn, Justin Jefferson and Mike Hughes as options at punt returner (among others). Said the team may use two punt returners at times depending on the opponent.

hey Bruce. Nice work on finding the reports. Did you see mine on Kubiak and Browning? Supposedly Kubiak really likes Browning and he is recovering or has recovered the lost arm strength.

I was going to, but I forgot. (I have an excuse now !). I will look at it now this one more post about how the team will use their first round receiver.

Purple for the win Podcast recently ran a bit about Jake Browning.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avShxb69AP4

IF he has regained arm strength like Kubiak claims, he would be the obvious choice for Vikings backup QB and a potential starter down the road.

I will agree that Kubiak knows a bit more than I do about QB's too, but I have to see it in Browning before I believe it.I was a big fan of him with the Huskies, though.

I wonder why he would say this about football and not hockey or basketball as none of these sports work for any sort of social distancing. Seems pretty clear that the only way to play these sports is everyone gets tested every week.

if the nfl is really serious about playing this season they should immediately coral all the players at the teams' training camp/facilities and have them sleep and eat there until the season is over...maybe even start the season early...they need to totally control the players to make sure they're clean of covid and stay that way...immediate training camp - short preseason - regular season....

enlarge the practice squad to 16 players like they're thinking and also give the teams more control over keeping their ps players....

the disease is going to blossom soon, and it will engulf the players and become completely unmanageable....

decisive action needed - now....

i would not have my starters returning punts or kicks during the preseason or regular season - playoffs only....

if i were head coach, i'd instruct my kick returner to take a knee in the endzone every kick off - start at the 25 and don't risk injury/fumble...i'd let a player like patterson actually return kicks, but not abdullah....

i would be nice for our punt returner to be a legitimate wr or CB - #4/5 would be perfect....

I hate to say this, but I have been thinking all along that I don't see how there is NFL football this fall, and recent developments have only reinforced this POV. The union can protect players, unlike college football, and there is no escaping widespread infections on at least some teams (Clemson had 23 football players test positive this week). There is no distancing in a football lockerroom and creating a bubble like the NBA---which still might not work---is impossible with about 100 people minimum per team over a 20-week season. Huddles, blocking, tackle piles, bump-and-run---the sport is not just contact-oriented, it is face-to-face, with spit, snot, and now virus on uniforms, in the air, and projected directly into the faces of the players. Add in colder weather as the season goes on, indoor stadiums, training rooms, communal dining......I just don't see how that works.

Bruce,
I’m glad you’re well.
There was much concern, rightfully so, when you were out.

I’d like to ask a favor.

I hope I’m not out of line.
I’ve taken this thing seriously the whole time.
I’m not particularly high risk, this thing just seemed very serious to me.

Can you give us a real life, 1st person perspective, of the virus when you’re ready?

So much misinformation out there.
The more I know, the more I protect my family.

Stay Strong.
