ORIGINAL: TJSweens Wow! The Lakers trade Anthony Davis to the Mavericks for Luka the Bitch. LOL! Luka the Bitch, a reminder that he destroyed the Wolves. Now not eligible for a projected supermax 5/345 because he was traded. No. Kyrie Irving absolutey shredded the Wolves in the playoffs and I love his game. Great player. Luka the Bitch because he conducts himself like a little bitch on the floor. Incessantly whining while getting away with all kinds of crap. Then he trash talks the opposing player who gets called for a bullshit foul on him. Uh, yes. Maybe a revisit to the box scores can help correct things. On average: Luka: 32.4 pts, 9.6 rb, 8.2 asst, 2.2 st, 3.6 trnovr, 43% from 3. Irving: 27 pts, 3.6 rb, 4.6 asst, 0.6 st, 2.4 trnovr, 38% from 3. Imagine if the Lakers convince him to get into shape. Like they did with Shaq? Shaq was in shape for the majority of the time he was there. Last couple years were iffy. I was at his rookie game at Target Center. He was one of the most unbelievable athletes I've ever seen in person. He was like 285 and moved around the court like a gazelle. He was routinely beating guards down the floor, diving for loose balls, he was everywhere. Shutting down the paint, running out at shooters. It was unreal. But Shaq never worked on expanding his game. And he never cared about staying in shape. He just kept getting heavier and heavier. And as injuries piled up, he'd never rehab in the offseason. He'd wait until the season started and then take care of things - which led to slow recovery and him being more and more out of shape: quote:
While on SiriusXM Sports with legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, O'Neal claimed he weighed over 400 pounds during the 2001-02 season. Via Sports Illustrated: “In our first championship I was 345 [pounds] and then had a great summer, came back 385 for the second one,” O'Neal said. “Last championship I was 415.” Shaq was great. He could've been the best ever.
